I think it has greatly improved ice dance, but has ruined pairs.

Wow. Rudy Galindo, Irina Slutksaya, Michelle Kwan, Shen & Zhao, Johnny Weir, Lu Chen. So many more.

Of all time, or, like now? Now, I'd say Mira Leung. I don't really like her style.

3. Honestly, have you ever cried during a special skating moment?
Yes.

4. Favorite Skating move?
A decent, steady extended spiral (COE or charlotte - I hate the hydrant), Ina Bauer, hydroblading, the "frog position" spread eagle

5. Honestly, who was FIRST favorite skater [maybe going back when you were little]?
Michelle Kwan. Or maybe it was Oksana Baiul. I don't remember.

6. Favorite program for 06/07 season?
Johnny's SP, Yu-Na's LP, Mao's SP, and Shawn Sawyer's LP. I like Kimmie straight line footwork in her LP.

Dick Button - I love that diva.

Overall, yes - but there are many, many things I wish I could fix.

Evan Lysacek. Sorry. But that's not saying a lot because I don't actually know him.

Yes - that is if you considering having a waltz jump, a bad spiral, a three-rotation one footed spin (before I land on my butt) and forward and back crossovers, then kind of. I guess.

Caroline's SP. I liked S&Z's LP, which became more and more polished over the season; if they kept using it for a while longer, I think in the end it could have been amazing. I liked Yuna's LP, wish she didn't fall at worlds. Mao's SP was really perfect for her. I also liked Johnny's programs, especially SP, just wish he would hit the jumps more consistently.

7. Favorite TV commentator?
I LOVED French Eurosport's commentating on Mao's LP at '07 worlds. They were hilarious!

8. Favorite UNDERDOG skater [never won a major title]?
Johnny -- if having 3 U.S. titles doesn't mean he has a major title

On the whole, yes, but much improvement still needed. It's still a work in progress.

Haha! That would be a great exhibition piece. When I went to see Phantom of the Opera in Boston, I was really disappointed that the Chandellier was being slowly and carefully lowered to the ground, accompanied by a very fake crash sound.

As far as style, I don't really enjoy Plushenko. Although he has his good points.

I've gotten a little teary-eyed--not necessarily at a program, but at the reactions of the skaters afterwards--happy or sad.

4. Favorite Skating move?
Johnny's 3-A, Shizuka's Ina Bauer, and Boitano's spread-eagle. One of the few really gorgeous quads I've ever seen was, ironically enough, Johnny's in the warm-up before Nationals FS.

Brian Boitano

6. Favorite program for 06/07 season?
If this includes early 06--Johnny's Swan. I liked Stephane's flamenco program, too. And G/P's Adam and Eve.

Paul Wylie, Simon & Chris. I wish Brian Boitano would do some commentating. He was really good the few times he did. And I get a kick out of Dick Button.

Well, I really like Bebe Liang, Alissa Czisny and Elene G. But, since they are still competing, they might make it someday

Have to jump on the anti-Carmen bandwagon. If I never heard "You Raise Me Up" as an exhibition/show program, it would be okay with me, too.

Sasha Cohen, I guess. I only really pay attention when it's horrible, lol.

11. Worst costumes/hairstyle?
Lots of ice dancers I don't really mind, though. If everyone were tasteful, it wouldn't be as much fun.

12. Do you like the new judging system?
Not really. I think it's confusing, and just as open to bias and manipulation as the old system. I do like it that it's easier to come from behind to win, e.g., Lambiel at Skate Canada.

13. Who is the hottest female/male skater?
John Zimmerman, Stephane Lambiel. Tanith Belbin is almost eerily beautiful. Meryl Davis is exotically pretty. Johnny is quirkily pretty, lol.

I'm still confused by it. But I don't really care, I just like to watch the skating. Any scoring system that requires human input can be manipulated one way or another.

8. Favorite UNDERDOG skater [never won a major title]? In terms of skaters who've never won a world, Olympic or national title, Shawn Sawyer. In terms of skaters who have won Nationals, but never won a World or Olympic medal, Hough/Ladret, Josée Chouinard, and Sebastien Britten.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, along with the usual overused pieces already mentioned here (Carmen, Malaguena, Don Quixote, Phantom of the Opera, etc.)

Emanuel Sandhu (Yellow is not his colour, IMO, and he wore yellow for both his programs this year), Mira Leung (although at least she improved slightly in that department at Canadians and Worlds this year) and the majority of the ice dancers last year

I agree it's definitely not perfect--I'd like it to be a little more audience-friendly and no more anonymous judging, among other things--but I still think the positives have outweighed the negatives so far.

Hottest male: John Zimmerman, Peter Tchernychev
Hottest female: Katarina Witt (Well, at least according to most straight guys I've come across!)

14. Honestly, which skater's personality do you dislike the most?
I don't really feel qualified to answer this questions since I don't know any of these skaters personally, but I feel safe in agreeing with whoever said Tonya Harding. I also admit I've been less-than-impressed with Lloyd Eisler's off-ice antics over the past couple of years.

I can make it across one end of a rink to the other without falling on my butt, but that's about it.
