Daphnis & Chloe by Ravel for FS and Assassin's Tango from the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith for SP. Hooray! Finally we know! I have always loved Assassin's Tango, and tango seems to suit Gracie so well. Loved her El Choclo last year!

At around 3:20, this gets pretty amazing! I can just picture her!

There are 3 sections to Daphnis and Chloe. Wonder which one she'll use.

This sounds like something I would do! :laugh2: In fact I already went to one rink hoping for a Shoma sighting and another to try to get some info on Narumi Takahashi. I am definitely losing it.

If I weren't in IL., I'd go with you. Crazy thing, but fun! I went to the rink where Shoma was training but couldn't get up the nerve to go in since there weren't many cars there. #TryingNotToBeTooCreepy

It would be so much fun if I had someone to go with me, those kinds of things are strage alone haha. I don't know many skating fans in CA.

Oh, boo hiss! With all the skaters who train out there, there should be tons of fans! :sad4: I have a skating nerd friend who's not quite as crazy as me, but she's close to it! :hpull: Thank goodness for Golden Skate! :ghug:

I wonder if Gracie will use "Beauty and the Beast" during Olympic season. The movie will come out in March next yet hmm...

New SP for Gracie Gold. Again it is a tango version. It looks like a lot with last year`s short programm , though. I am a little dissapointed. She is not choosing something different and for that reason the programm to me seems boring a little. I really really like the music , especially when it becomes tense. BUT , i think it upon Gracie for one more time. She can deliver the message of that music. I cannnot feel the music while she is skating . Technically , her 3 Lutz was a little bit meshy ( meaning she had a delay to jump properly and got the exact posture in the air immediately ) , but her 3F was good. Her 2A a little tight to me. As for the step sequences , disaster. Not a very good job of the choreographer. Messy hands , her hands was not in synch with her body and legs and overall not very mych creativity in the step sequences. Need to be polished so that she manage level 3 to 4 . Her spins really really good but she needs to come up with something different for me. I see this layback spin 3-4 years now and she hasnt changed anyting.

I really love Gracie and dont agree with the pressure that America and fans put to her. But i think that she really needs to just **** all of them and skate for herself and only herself. She deserves it , she is a great , young and beautiful ( physically and mentally ) skater . Maybe a change to a coach would help her express her true feelings in the skate more. Because she gets really nervous and thats where she loses it.

yep imo the true her comes out only in EXs when there's no pressure

I like tangos, and I like the program, even though it seems rather unpolished from a choreographic point of view, and it does seem reminiscent of El Choclo. Hopefully that's because it's early in the season and she is still refining it/adding different elements ;)

I think she is refining it, it didn't look quite done! I do love that she landed all her jumps without popping them, I want that to be her new norm! I believe she can find consistency!
