Does Skate Canada automatically get to pick from nr 1-3? There are six GP events. How do they decide which Fed gets to pick first? I know that Skate America and TEB already have teams in 1-3 and SA will most likely use their host pick to choose one of Shib/C/B and TEB will chose P/C, but how is it determined that Skate Canada gets to pick whoever is leftover from the C/B/Shib pick before COC, Rostelecom, and NHK get to pick?

I don't know about the process. But this is all just an educated guess. The order is SA>SC>CoR>TEB>CoC>NHK. One week apart from each competition. So since SA definitely would have Shibs, no way SC would have them 1 week after. SC would not want P/C to go against WeaPo, so Japan who doesn't have strong ice dancers would probably have them and SC would have C/B. Since TEB is a definite for P/C, unlikely they would go to CoR or CoC that is only 1 week away from TEB, so for P/C it is either SC or NHK (Since SA already have Shibs).
So my guess will be : SA : Shibs; SC : C/B; CoR : Shibs; TEB: P/C; CoC:C/B; NHK: P/C

I doubt they would pit Gracie and Ashley against each other, but that might be good for ticket sales. I actually am liking Ashley's chances of getting SA this year because of what she did at Worlds. Especially if Adam gets SA. Might be better for Gracie to not skate at home. i think it is more of a burden for her.

Yeah, if Wagner is chosen for SA (which is likely considering Rippon is there like you said) i think my pick would be :

(They're different in many ways but I see a lot of similarities-strong jumps, inconsistency, not particularly artistic, etc. so I would like to see who would come out on top if they were at a GP together. They both tend to have a mix of "meh" skates, perfect skates, and meltdowns every season, so the outcome would be very unpredictable.)

Well, don't forget there will also be Mao, Rika or other Russian Ladies (Liza, Yulia, Adelina, Serafima etc) mixed in in the equation somewhere. Moreover, a couple of strong junior ladies moving up to senior like Wakaba Higuchi and Maria Sotskova.

Bobrova & Soloviev (not tiered after missing Worlds)
Ilinykh & Zhiganshin (not tiered after missing Worlds)

Put them at Skate America. What happens? Now in Japan. What happens? Now add Stepanova & Bukin and put them in Russia. What happens? (This is a plausible scenario).

Yes, of course they can. But I doubt any strong Feds would let this happen to their top skaters (back-to-back competition only 1 week apart) even if the travel time is short. I don't know about ice dance schedule, but generally they would have to arrive by Wednesday/Thursday for practice and leave only by Sunday for Gala. It would tire them. So as long as there is a choice to let them have breaks between competition. maybe ISU/National Fed would rather opt for it?

Will they be assigned one whether or not they have announced their plans for what level to compete at next season, and simply withdraw if they decide not to move up (as in the case of Daniel Samohin last year), or will they not get any because they haven't announced their decision as to whether or not to go senior?

Elizabet Tursynbayeva Did both Skate America and Skate Canada last year. I felt sorry for her, that must've been an exhausting schedule! At least it's all in the same continent. I can't imagine instead if a skater had to do Skate Canada one week and then Cup of China the next, the travel would be a lot worse.

Will they be assigned one whether or not they have announced their plans for what level to compete at next season, and simply withdraw if they decide not to move up (as in the case of Daniel Samohin last year), or will they not get any because they haven't announced their decision as to whether or not to go senior?

They've earned the spot. I would assume they will get at least one unless they have told USFSA they don't want it. M&C may be waiting for the GP announcement to see if they have been selected for two before announcing. Or perhaps they will let it do the announcing for them? If they aren't on the list, we'll know they opted to stay juniors. If they are on the list twice, I think we can be pretty certain they're moving up. If they're on it once, maybe they will tell us what it means.

I'm also assuming Popova & Vlasenko won't have an invite, but I'm not even certain about that since I'm not sure their split is official yet.

Remember last year when they didn't release them until about 3:00? That was so stressful! the meeting is in NYC, so it'll be in US time (eastern) this year. Hopefully we'll get them a little earlier.

It's worth noting that just because they haven't announced their decision to the fans doesn't mean they haven't made it. I'm quite certain that they have made it and that USFSA knows what it is. We just have to be patient- we'll know soon enough.

Sasha did both SA & SC - at least in 2002 and 2003 plus CoR (2002) and Trophee Lalique (2003) (as TEB then called) as they used to do 3 GP back then to qualify for GPF but it was an exhausting schedule

In the Mikhail Kolyada fan fest thread it's been reported that he will do Rostelecom and either Cup of China or NHK, pending Hanyu's decision, and that he turned down Skate America. Since Hanyu is a 1-3 seed and Kolyada is a 4-6 seed, not sure why Hanyu's decision would factor into Kolyada's second choice of Grand Prix? Also, since Adam is also a 4-6 seed, it seems odd that Kolyada was even offered SA.

Does Kolyada want to compete against Hanyu? It is odd that Adam is not offered SA, but Kolyada is, unless Adam chose not to be at SA. But Adam is the national champ. It would also be odd if Adam chose to not compete at SA.

Maybe 'turned down" is more in terms of 'ruling out' or a matter of preferences. Maybe he expressed to the Russian Fed those preferences? My understanding there's quite a bit of chatter among federations before the actual selection meeting.

Also while the 4-6 seeds thing is generally in effect, there has been at times where federations has managed to get two of the same seeding group into the same SA.

No. 2015 was released at like 10:30 am Eastern Standard Time. 2014 is probably what you're talking about. Cause I remember when I was working as my last year as a camp counselor at a day camp at my synagogue, I was slightly anxious throughout the day waiting to be able to check my phone to see the results.
