Yes. Maybe not now, but prior to COP (as I said in my previous post) it was a certain type of death spiral, changing year to year, that was required in the pairs short program.

I'm pretty sure that the death sprial is still mandated in the SP - aren't all the pairs doing BO death spirals in the SP this season - that would be some coincidence.

On a related topic - how difficult are all of the different death spirals? I know technically all the different edge have different names (there's a death sprial and life sprial i think plus others for each edge).

Trying to think it through i think Forward death spirals are more difficult because of the chance of catching a pick and going down. The FO death sprial is extrememly difficult and not many pairs perform this at all so i'm thinking that is the most difficult.

The very young primary pairs i've seen at my rink tend to start working on BI death spiral...is that the easiest?

Outside death spirals look like they may be harder than inside because of the lean back rather than lean to the side so there is more danger since a mistake could mean the lady lands on her head...what do people think order of difficulty:

1. Forward Outside.
2. Back Outside.
3. Forward Inside.
4. Back Inside.
