"I haven't yet digested that one." Me too, me too. This resonates with me so much. I was all set to start the season with Cranberry Cup when CAS handed down the bronze medal decision, and I just went, that's it, I can't with this sport anymore. The Summer Olympics was on, then the US election season, there were other, much more interesting things happening in the world, and I pretty much gave the fall season a pass. Now, I'm a lifer, I don't think I'll ever be able to turn my back on figure skating fandom completely. (Figure skating fandom = the Mafia?) But there is some irony, given how much I loathe the scoring system for the Olympic team event, that that is the only Olympic figure skating event I'm looking forward to, because it will be guaranteed Russian-free.
