It's hard to believe that after standing for over 1,000 years our beloved world famous Hollow Tree in Stanley Park will be finally taken down. It was damaged in the horrible wind storms we had last year. Everyone fought to keep the tree or what is left of it in the park as a symbol of its glorious past, but the parks board decided it was too dangerous and too expensive to maintain.
It will sadly be missed by all who have memories of this wonderful iconic symbol that has been a part of Stanley Park for so many years.
