I usually lurk around the Hanyu fan thread but I like a lot of other skaters too.
Jason and Adam are 2 skaters I also like a lot.
They are both artistic...but there their similarities end.
Which do you think will do better this year?

Is a direct comparison possible?

Who has the potential to score higher?

Who in the past has been most consistent?

Who do you like a tiny, tiny bit better?

Jason has the presentation, Adam has the technique. If both are on fire then Adam might have the change to score higher. I suppose.

I disagree that Adam has the technique. His 3A has always been hit-and-miss. But when they're on, they're both wonderful to watch.

Jasons personal best in SP technical is actually higher than Adams, as well as the PB PCS, which I was surprised by. Jasons PB TES in the LP is only a point lower than Adams but is from juniors
So once again the argument is IF Jason gets a quad... he'll be well above Adam

Ok, so what thread next ?

Maybe to bring some big sparks and lightnings Plushenko vs Yagudin ? Or even better Mao Asada vs Yuna Kim

It's the waiting that's getting to me. So I thought I'd do some pairings that I thought may be interesting.
But not necessarily controversial.

Both are quite artistic. But Jason has soft knees and flows. When watching Adam, it sometimes gets me nervous.

What is it exactly that you are waiting for?
The first Senior B? Or the first GP? Or the first time to see a certain skater this season? And/or one of her/his programs in particular???

ETA, correction:
Challenger competition, not Senior B, is what I meant. The first Senior Bs of the season already have taken place. Sorry for my lapse above.

Even without the quad - Jason is quite a bit more consistent than Adam, which is great for Jason but not so great for Adam. I really like Adam too, and I hope he hits his stride this season!

senior B so we can watch all the new programs and costumes, I suppose.

One could say that Jason is more consistent because he doesn't have a quad. Adding a quad in your program affects everything else quite a bit.

True. He also gets pretty good goe for everything, including jumps. What he does, he does exceptionally well ;)

They are my 2 favorite US men, so it's hard to pick one over the other. I would say Jason is probably a little more versatile, while Adam is slightly more refined and balletic. Jason probably has more scoring potential this season, but I can't predict what will happen. They both have great personalities...Jason's comes out a little more on the ice though, I suppose. I guess I lean towards Jason, but I still believe in Adam. :)

I wonder the possibility of a quad and the effect of it on the program. Brian Joubert said it affected the program overall but maybe it depends on different skaters.
