Uh, what did I come back to? (hello everyone)
Hmmm, I am going back and forth on this one. I think both Jason and his team can see the writing on the wall when it comes to the Olympics. Getting that spot is going to be very difficult, the competition is fierce and of course, there's the usual politicking. So in that way, Jason has nothing to lose. He can go all out and then let the chips fall where they may.
On the other hand, two quads in the SP and presumably, at least those two, if not three, in the FS is a massive change, massive. It's not just the big question of landing those quads in competition, it is the program as a whole. The stamina of course but then also the rhythm of the program takes getting used to because it changes with all those quads added in. So he may be landing those quads in practice but not only does he have to land them in competition now, but he has to get the rest of the program too, that is affected.
Another question is are we talking about the 4T and 4S or perhaps, are we talking about a 4T and 4F? The Sal can be tricky, so I do wonder.
In any case, if he's going down this road, then I say bring it all out and bring it all out as soon as possible. WTT for one, bring out the 4T in both the SP and the FS. Then as soon as possible, start getting those programs out. Shows, small competitions. Get the mileage in where the pressure doesn't exist. Fingers crossed, got to give Jason props for going for it, his team too of course. It's a good one, so they'll know how to take care of him as of course, more quads automatically means higher risk. Exciting times!
