There is a difference between critique and bashing. And sometimes the bashers pretend to be a "critical" poster. Whenever I see that happens whether it's about Caroline, Mao,Yu-Na or any other skaters, I will jump out.

Read FSU for yourself ANW.. There are several reports that talk about what I'm saying.. This doesn't mean that Zhang hasn't improved in this area, it just means that she doesn't necessarily have a Tara Lipinski like work ethic.. And considering how Tara turned out, that's not exactly a bad thing.

I love ANW how you never comment at all when I say good things about Zhang, because once again, I can show you quotes where I have said nice things about Zhang. But whenever, I come out and say critical thing, your on me and somehow I hate Caroline.. I'm tired of it. Why don't you get a life and leave me alone? Because I'm certainly not bothering you.

So what if I go around and say some criticial things about Caroline? Why should you care?

While I try to be critical, I think that I have admitted that I do have biases, and I've admitted that I have had biases against Zhang, but that's she's been winning me over. In fact, in one of my posts I say that I think that I've been way to hard on Caroline, and that good for her for going for that 3/3, that I think she could give Johnny Weir some lessons...

If all I was out to do was bash Caroline to no ends, I wouldn't have said those things.

Ok I just watched Mao's FS. It wasn't bad at all. She fell on her 3axel and other than that it was quite good.

Thanks for the report, I applaud for her determination. She needs to get rid of the time deduction silly mistake.

for Worlds, though, yes, it would be in her best interest to do so.

1 - take personal beefs OFF the board

The only surprise here (imo!!) is Wagner. I have never heard of her before (only heard her name in passing threads) nor seen her, so I did not expect her to just pop up onto the podium like a jack-in-the-box. Anyway, seems like both top guns didn't have their best night, but Meissner in particular seems to have struggled. Red flag? Or just an off-night (which happens even to the best of the best)? Stay tuned. Next up: the GPF.

She was shown on ESPN's broadcast of Skate Canada this past weekend

and I want to say she was in the nationals broadcast last year?

While I have been convinced that most flutzs are different from lutzs although some say Mao's lutz/flip is kind of indistinguisable. I must say that this type of thing really does upset me... A part of me wishes that this thing did get reflected on PC scores. But a part of me feels that in someways by not having so many transitions, Yu-na has handed a big PC advantage to Mao.. Hopefully she'll add some more on there because this three type of triple thing is ridiculous (Although this time she did go for the 3 axel.)

Still, I must admit Mao's skating is soo lovely.

as for Ashley I'm pretty sure, now that I'm thinking about it, that she wasn't shown... wishful thinking on my part... she used to skate for the Anchorage Figure Skating Club (Anchorage, Alaska, not sure which the "A" in AFSC stands for lol)

Ashley didn't skate at Senior Nationals. Ashley took third at Junior Nationals....

Wow this bashing thing really has to be addressed. We've gone from a forum to a wrestling match. I may not agree with bekalc on some issues, but I don't think attacking this person is the right answer. Express, you opinion, share your knowledge, but please respect posters.

still, I wonder. this is getting off topic but with NASCAR season coming to an end today, I notice ABC has an unfilled timeslot from 1-3pm on Sat. Nov 25th and all day on the 2nd, 9th and 16th of December. It makes me wonder whether they will do what they did last year and move the later GP events over to ABC from ESPN.
