"Legendary" music/programs

I know its not legendary. But, I can't help to think that B/A's "Amelie" will always be theirs for me. Its only been done so many times, but I fell in love with it.

I'm pretty sure others have used Triston and Isolde...

ETA - though now that I think of it, I think those that have used it in the last couple of years used the movie soundtrack... not the actual opera...
Are any of them on youtube? I would love to see at least one other than S&Ps.

Joe

Carmen will always be Katt's music with a lot of imitators... That marked the day when I knew just how awesome this sport actually was...

MKs Red Violin and FOG... While I'd love to see someone skate to Lyra I simply couldn't tolerate watching anyone else skate to RV...

S/Z's Turnadot... wow...

Oksana will always be the Swan (even though Sasha's version at that Cheesefest gave her a run for her money...)

Kurt's Casablanca

Alexi's MITIM

and A/Ps weird MLK performance at the 02 games... not because it was so hot, but because at least I could say "oh, well, they're french...";)

Has anyone attempted to use The Man in the Iron Mask since Yagudin? He owned that music. Talk about legendary.

I recall reading somewhere that a skater used MITIM the year after Yagudin, and at the GPF (which was in St. Petersburg), a large group who were taking a break rushed back in when they heard the music because they thought Yagudin was on the ice.

I don't do youtube so I wouldn't know, but my head says someone's skated to a Triston and Isolde other than S/P  I could be wrong...

for me Belbin and Agosto's most memorable freeskate was the gypsy one. I loved that program.

The gypsy one was so much fun :)

Unfortunately, I can't find a YouTube link anywhere, Abitbol and Bernadis used Tristan and Isolde the same season S&P did, but IIRC, both teams used different music cuts and the programs were completely different from each other.

The opening of Jeffrey Buttle's "Glenn Gould" tribute program, replaced later in 2006 with his revised Samson and Delilah, opened with the Prelude to Tristan und Isolde, into which snippets of either Webern or Schoenberg were sliced. He did that gorgeous circular Ina Bauer to the first iteration of the big theme.
