This is a great show. My fiancee and I watch it. From what the finacee tells me, they decided to go across Europe starting in England, and then fly to Alaska and go through Canada, and across America, and end in NYC. They are on BMW bikes (that weigh about 600 pounds), and in some areas (like Mongolia) there is a mere 80 miles of actual tarmac. They have had problems with getting through borders, Ewan has been gassed in the eyes twice, finding roads to ride, and exhaustion. In this last episode one of the support vehicles was on its side and they left you hanging as to whether the people inside where okay or not. Ewan is riding with a friend of his, Charlie, and a cameraman, Claudio. If memory serves they took about 4 months preparing/training for this and then the trip took 3 months. They filmed it then sold it (per fiancee). It really gets in touch with the human element that transcends all social, financial, and cultural boundaries.
We have watched 3 or 4 and I think that there are 5 shows left.
