Guess what! My brother gave me the CD soundtrack of “The Mission” for my birthday last weekend. It is so beautiful to listen to. It is right up there with the modern classical music scores like Chariots of Fire and Schindler’s List, IMHO! I love it! I also love Mai!

some of you may already know about ESP Italy commentators' pod cast after GP eventsi they mention Mai during COC and NHK ones, some interesting points which i completely agree but somehow overlooked/ignored by some (esp about her TR score

My favourite Japanese lady, I hope that she is happy with her performances. I hope she skates with joy and freedom, forgetting that Olympics are on the line, and comes away knowing she did the best she could, no regrets, no matter what placements she ends up getting.

I'm so proud of her! She fought like a champion. I'm sad but I was already mentalized that it was gonna be tough for her to get the spot 
Nevermind, it's a joy for me watching her skating and I'm looking forward to her next competion.

I was moved to tears after watching Mai's superb performance. Didn't she say that her next goal is Beijing in a post-competition interview, according to a Youtube comment? So it's nothing like the anime, where the hero will feel distressed for a few days and go to onsen to relieve his frustration ? She's a champion who possesses both an elephant memory to remember a 4-minute choreography and a goldfish one to get over disappointment quickly.

i am sure she will comeback stronger too!! she always does, its a shame that Mai and her SP has some kind of weird quarrel going on, hope she will make up with it by the time of 4CC and great to hear she is thinking about 2022 already, judging by her comments she probably is upset but not depresssed which is good to see and shows her strong character :luv17: there were so many great performances yesterday but her LP was one of my favourites from ladies LP along with Satoko's

In this news report, it says that Mai will become a college student in the coming spring: she'll enter Konan University in Kobe, and will most likely not make much change in her current training environment (it seems Mai made that a priority when choosing school). This also means she will continue to train under Coach Nakano.
