Medvedeva leaving Eteri

I'm 90% sure the BOrser rumour is true. But hey, if it turns out BOrser is neither taking on her nor Boyang/Wakaba it would be the ultimate troll move :laugh2:

There was never anything about Orser taking Boyang, only possibly sending Boyang there during the summer/temporarily. Boyang will stay with his main coach.

As for Waka, I was pretty optimistic when Ambesi said it, but I really can't see both going to Brian, so I'm pretty disappointed there.

Good luck to Zhenya, this is a very gutsy move. Hopefully it will pay out for her.
(And hopefully Polina is really switching to CSKA!)

The comment from director of “Sambo 70” Renat Layshev:

Zhenya stopped working with Eteri Georgievna. Of course, we do not like this situation, but Zhenya plans to continue working at Sambo-70, with another coach. We have never limited her in anything, she has good relations with the school, we tried to influence thу situation. (http://fs-gossips.com/evgenia-medved...ri-tutberidze/)

So, only a coach's change at Sambo? :scratch2:

That's what they said before... It didn't turn out to be true.

Which other coach would she move to? Anna Tsareva?

Well, I assume it just means she'll be listed with Sambo-70 but training elsewhere.

No apparently she will be representing Sambo but train somewhere else. But we’re still waiting to know for sure. Tbh though I can’t see training at sambo with someone else (who?)

It seem more, at least to me, what the director hope, than what Evgenia is really going to do.

We better wait for hers announcement.

Oh I know the Boyang thing is only temporary if it's true. I just meant "taking in" in general coming-to-TCC way, not under-Brian-coaching way.

Yeah, I kinda want Wakaba to come to TCC more, but the skaters know best and we're just going to have to go with it

I don't really see how she can train in TCC and still be a member of Sambo 70.

If Medvedeva actually switched to representing Armenia, that would certainly help with a long-term plan. I don't think she even could compete until 2020, which would take care of Orser's 1.5 year minimum timeline to show significant improvement. She would have absolutely no threat of losing Olympic spots and indeed could have a very long career, even up until 2026 Olympics if she so wished. That seems like a good move.

If the citizenship thing is true, yes! Girl is doing all the right steps, I'm impressed

Hmmm the citizenship thing seems a bit fishy to me bc I remember her saying she doesn’t really feel connected to Armenian culture and she’s very patriotic. But at this point everything is possible!

As for representing sambo at TCC, I’m pretty sure Yuzuru represents a Japanese uni/club as well!

It's his sponsor ANA iirc

Would it? I don't know if it would let her have the political backing. Her achievement as the 2-time WC will fade if she doesn't place next year, which isn't guaranteed. There's a lot to think here, before saying this, IMO.
