Wow. WOOOOOW. I know I've said it before, but considering the latest developments... Zhenya, girl, you have guts. She probably realized that the only way to make it out of there was to basically run for it, breaking all ties. I hope she doesn't respond to Eteri's bashing and just goes on to live a happy life in Canada.
What Eteri is doing, revealing alleged comments Zhenya made and all is truly appalling considering she's a grown woman and Evgenia is a teenager. But I guess after what happened with Yulia I should have expected it.

It's not the first time when Eteri is saying nasty things about athletes leaving her. I just hope Evghenia would not dig any dirt in reply. Thus she will be a winner in this situation, at least in my eyes.
I don't think she's been lying, Zhenya could have said those words to her but why disclosing this to the public, it's a very intimate moment of coach-student relationship. Eteri was rooting for Zhenya to win the OGM but Judges decided otherwise. I still remember that Kiss and Cry moment after the free skate where Eteri was pushing Zhenya to recognize she hadn't done enough to win. And Zhenya was trying to say- I did everything I could, I did my best in SP and LP, this is my maximum. The last thing Eteri said to her was: "I don't think so". That was so cruel! No wonder Zhenya is leaving her. One day Alina will realize what kind of a person Eteri is to her as well. Her glances at Alina after she was declared a winner say it all. Eteri was disappointed. But she cannot blame the girls, she can only blame herself. It was a cruel game she was playing. She has to pay.

Just saying at least the screencap looks real, not that it proves anything. Re: other things, well, we'll just have to wait for Evgenia's side of the story to see if anything happened before. Eteri already declared text messages are open for sharing, Evgenia can use it too if she wants ~

So people are cheering for Evgenia when she basically betrayed Eteri, being rude and irresponsible not replying to her messages and basically being angry at her coach for giving her other student a chance to turn Senior and participating in Olympics?
In my opinion, Evgenia is completely in the wrong here and sorry but Eteri is not some teenager who you can simply dump and announce your departure in the media. She owes at least a gesture of respect to this strong woman who took her places. Not to mention Evgenia was basically LYING to everyone in her interviews stating that “she will never leave Eteri” and “it is all lies”.
Even though this forum is a complete hate fest to Eteri, try to be just a little more understanding what she is going through right now.

Well, that I can't know about. She also said she didn't know about Lipnitskaya leaving until the fed told her. But to be honest, that's not really the important detail about that, at least for me.

Are you kidding? Eteri is a grown woman and she's behaving like she's the teenager. Posting text messages is pretty classless imo. Also you're saying it's all on Evgenia, but taking that only from Eteri's side of the story. Especially since Eteri's claims that she only found out through the media don't make sense.

Evgenia is 18, not 12.
People finish school at 16-17 in Russia. She is not a teenager. Alina is but she acts much more maturely

That's what I get out of this, indeed. If what she's saying is true, that's... really a bad look for Medvedeva.
Still, the reason I don't think it'd be Eteri shaming for the sake of shaming is due to how she had such positive things to say about Serafima Sakhanovich.
No, she doesn't have to pay. She did what she considered it's the best for the two of them.
Of course, in her soul, she would have preferred Zhenya to win, but this doesn't mean that she didn't prepare Alina at the maximum.
She just need to relax and let Zhenya to leave without any resentment or string attached.

It's only really important as it speaks to how honest she's being overall. Plus some people are already attacking Zhenya for blindsiding Eteri, so if that's false it's pretty bad of her to say.
I would think the same as you if this had not happened before (Yulia, Adian). I also believed in Eteri, but if so many students do the same, it must be for something.

It's funny how you are easily dismissing that Eteri is quite obviously lying about not knowing but you're super ready to accept that she's not lying about the thing about Alina, because it suits you.

Eteri's interview is not excusable. It is just ugly like quarreling women at fishing market. Just .... bleah. After what she said about Julia i had a big question point about her, now her character is clear to me. She is a good coach, especially for teens, but as a person...
Regardles how Medvedeva is gone from her team, she is 18. Think about it. 18! You cannot expect to act always mature and don't do any mistakes. But Eteri is not a teen anymore, Medvedeva is not her first student leaving... An put that for all people to know in a paper is such a breaching of coach-student trust that i am speechless! :dev2:
I only hope that Alina will look for another coach, before being send to the back of the group for the next "flavour of the month".

So, she's clearly lying about now knowing that Evgenia would move, since literally everybody else seemed to know. Idk about that phrase, but even if Evgenia had said it, it would have been a teenager saying it after the worst disappointment of her life. Holding it against her to bash her aftr Evgenia made her who she is today by winning everything for 2 straight years... yeah no. For me, Eteri is canceled.
