I was watching Countdown to Nationals on CN8 this evening. Host Lou Tilley mentioned that Nancy is expecting another baby in May.

Wow, their picks are similar to mine. I do agree with on the ladies. I think Caroline and Mirai will be 1st and 2nd. can't wait!! Go Mirai and Caroline!

Rocky Marvel sounded like Phil Hersh when he was commenting about Kimmie. He pretty much said she was done. He also said that Emily in his opinion has made her choice and it is school. Nancy comments about Kimmie were more supportive citing that her school schedule and her growth spurt may have something to do with her skating problems and how when you compete at the elite level it is very difficult to juggle.

The decline in U.S. ladies figure skating was discussed and the dominance
of the Asian ladies. Nothing new said on that subject other than Caroline and Mirai were mentioned again as the up and coming talent for the US. No mention of Ashley Wagner or Rachel Flatt.

Congratulations to Nancy! I, too, hope this is an easy pregnancy for her. She's had so many heartbreaks in the past with miscarriages. I bet that besides a healthy baby they'd like to add a girl to the family.

Rocky Marval said he was U.S. Pair Champion in 1991 and 1992. Small problem. He was champion in 92 and 93.

No. She has an 11-year-old son and a son who is almost 3. In between those two she had several miscarriages, which she has spoken about publicly. So it's really great when she makes it to the second trimester. Wishing her a healthy pregnancy.
