Nebelhorn Trophy 2013: Sep 25-28 [Oberstdorf, Germany] - Olympic Qualifying Event

Not a joke. For one thing, Radionova has some sense of musicality and performance quality. Lipnit appears to be tone-deaf.

Sh has openly stated in a previous interview that she ignores the music on purpose because the one time she tried to skate with emotion and passion she popped everything.

Miki got a qualifying score and will win seilver behind Elena, which is all that matters really.
Exactly. And she stood on her feet, she landed triples including lutz. She doesn't look out of shape (quite the opposite). To be honest I expected a lot less and I'm so glad I've been proven wrong.

She may be a little slow at this point, but I'd say she did a terrific job, considering she hasn't competed since 2011, and gave birth 5 months ago. Since she's come this far in only four months, I can't wait to see her a few months from now!

She also said she is changing and will relate more to music now and those days are over.

Well, that methodology might have gotten her to the top on the Junior circuit but likely won't cut it on the Seniors beyond a certain point. I personally don't buy it--I don't think she has musical feeling in her being, and it will become apparent when compared against her peers that do...and who manage to skate to music without popping everything.

I like Elena but I find this program dull:unsure: With that said, she is a deserving winner here. And she IS better artistically than Julia L. And I looove Julia:) Her score could even be higher than that. I think she was a bit nervous, and she has right to be. - that's her debut! If the growth spurt won't hit her drastically. - she will have a very bright future.

Radionova skated with good speed; her jumps did indeed have height and power (regardless of what Jammers seems to think); she had excellent spins and there was a lot going on in her program, and it nearly all went with the music. I'm not sure why people have issue with in her score?

And yes, Elena is a much better skater than Julia. In particular, she's a much better performer.

I thought Miki did well considering she gave birth this spring and hasn't skated competitively in 2 years. Clearly there's work to do,b ut it was a good start.

No she did not. Julia sets practices jumps first with no music playing
the one she mentioned was skating with too much emotion is useless when you cant do your elements
never did Julia said she ignores the music

I agree with you. If she survives puberty she could be the top skater in the 2014-2018 quad.
