Notte Stellata | Mar 7, 8 and 9, 2026

MISIA whose Song of Hope was selected by Yuzuru and co. as the soundtrack music for Notte Stellata shows' traditional Great Finale sent flowers to the show's venue for Yuzu to show her appreciation of his efforts.
It is good to know that the song was originally planned as an anti-war song in response to the invasion of Ukraine. In the end of the day, it ended up as a piece dedicated to all refugees who had to leave their homes as a result of this and all the other wars and disasters, and hoping to come back home one day. A beautiful and thoughtful choice to end such a show like Notte Stellata!

All skaters' joy in the Finale was infectious! I had the impression that Jason Brown (not only him!) was very pleased by the Broadway-revival style. The musicians seemed quite moved and some at the edge of tears but they held on!

Here's the official video of the Happy End piece on which Yuzuru Hanyu skated his first new program, here conducted by the late founder of the Tohoku Youth Orchestra, Ryuichi Sakamoto (also on Piano):

Yuzuru's message for the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Fifteen years. It's not something you can measure with numbers. But I feel like so many nights have passed since then. I'll never forget the sadness, but I think I've learned how to live with it and have kept moving forward. There's no single right way to live, yet I feel each of us carries our own answer within our hearts. May the kindness I've received since that day circulate throughout the world. I continue to pray that the days we've strived to nurture the seeds of your miracles and happiness will be rewarded” [translated by DeepL]

The experience of a lifetime!

Speaking of musicians, I have been hoping and manifesting that Yuzuru would collaborate with Joe Hisaishi for at least a year now. xD

Well, he's collaborated with Satoshi Takebe in GIFT...
I'm afraid that Joe Hisaishi may be a bit too old now, for an active collaboration? I'm really happy that Yuzuru Hanyu has two programs on his music!
