"Olympic Ice" on the USA network

I basically have the set up to convert VHS tapes to online video. However, it is a real-time process so it can get tedious.

Now, with my own PVR I can watch and record TV on my own computer. It's far from perfect- some recordings do mess up- but it's good considering it eliminates the whole process of importing. Love it. I've got maybe 20+ hours of Olympic footage (all skating-related) which I'll convert into smaller vids and caps once I have time. I also hope to make HQ files of all the ladies' programs.

I think it is time Dick wrote his book that was supposed to happen a couple of years ago. 'Push Dick's Button' everyone and ask him when he plans to write his book of skating!!!

Not spoiling anything for anyone. In Sasha's free skate, she had her leg wrapped from her knee up to her hip. CBC commentators said that she has been nursing a groin injury for awhile now, that's why she hasn't been practising much in public.

If "Olympic Ice" was a pig-out show for skating fans - and it was - then the final episode (No. 15 Friday night the 24th) was a pig-out show for Kimmie fans!!

Thank you Mary Carillo, Dick Button, Scott Hamilton, and Sele and Pelletier for "Giving me Kimmie" throughout the last show and other episodes also!!

What USA network did to us on Sunday was crap. THEN they gave us one hour of unannounced skating analysis during the 4 -6 pm show on NBC. Hosted by Jim Lampley, Jamie/David, Scott/Dick and Tracey dropped into the studio & chatted with Jim Lampley about various skating events. It was good, insightful, original stuff. So NBC made up to skate fans for the crappy 'Olympic Champions OI' show earlier that day.
