You know it was so confusing because there were three articles and I couldn't find the Toronto Sun version to re-read before I posted! But I knew I had read "injuries" and "plateaus". I thought maybe one of the other articles had been "re-edited".Awesome, blueberryhill! No offense intended, I just didn't know if you had seen that article, that's all. And I hope Nathan Chen comes out all right.
I'm still trying to figure out how I can go see Patrick at SOI, so good for you!
As for Nathan Chen, given all his past injuries (and from what I read, not fully recovered) ... it really was risky do four quads and then attempt one in the exhibition (when the injury occurred). There was supposed to have been an update yesterday ...
I think you should just decide to do what it takes to go see Patrick skate and then GO. Grab the opportunities while you can. Treat yourself!
With SOI I actually have to make an effort to go. I'm slightly agoraphobic (lol) :shame: so you know it has to be a special reason before I voluntarily leave the house (Mr. PChiddy!!!). I've been fortunate in being able to speak to Patrick the last two years before the start of the show. This year, I don't know ... My pre-show ticket benefactors - "friends of a friend" are retired this year and they will probably be in town and use their tickets. Vivley, any suggestions of what to ask Patrick if indeed I am lucky enough to go?
