I know it's a bit early, but I'm going to start predicting:

MEN
1. Brian Joubert
2. Jeremy Abbott
3. Sergei Voronov

WOMEN
1. Carolina Kostner (fingers crossed!!)
2. Rachael Flatt
3. Fumie Suguri

PAIRS
1. Zhang Dan / Zhang Hao
2. Yuko Kawaguchi / Alexander Smirnov
3. Tatiana Volosozhar / Stanislav Morozov

DANCE
1. Oksana Domnina / Maxim Shabalin
2. Meryl Davis / Charlie White
3. Jana Khoklova / Sergei Novitski

Men
1. Tomas (If he lands two 3As, maximizes his combo opportunities, and does not make any mistakes on the other jumps in LP)
2./3. Joubert/Jeremy

Ladies
1. Caro (If she does her best, she should be so dominant here)
2. Flatt (If she does not UR; Even though she flutzes, she still seems better than the others overall)
3./4./5. Fumie (I feel that she may get edge calls on her lutzs at this time. She also seems a bit weak at her steps, spins, spirals, and overall speed, especially at her spins)
/Sarah (If she lands all of her jumps, she would be brilliant)
/Kimmie (Hope she does not UR or fall)

It's a bit early but I'll give it a try...

Ice Dance
Gold: DomShabs: They are usually glorious in the CD, they may not have my favorite OD but it works quite well for them (I still think it's a bit unbelievable they went for a waltz...), and well, if they are more comfortable with the FD (it has potential) I can easily see them getting the gold.
Silver/Bronze: this is the interesting part of the competition. Davis/White vs Khokhlova/Novitski. It's fairly obvious that I prefer D/W anytime (although I don't dislike K/N), and I'm really hoping that they can qualify for the GPF. Their OD is one of the best, IMO, that we've seen from the top teams, and I definitely like it better than DomShabs and K/N (with their horrendous costumes I could barely concentrate on how much I wasn't really impressed with the actual program). And again, I think D/W's FD does wonders for them and really shows how they've improved while I like bits and pieces of K/N's FD, but it doesn't all feel cohesive to me.
So I guess I want:

Gold: DomShabs
Silver: Davis/White (if they won I'd think figure skating had entered an alternate universe)
Bronze: Khokhlova/Novitski

Men
Gold: Jeremy Abbott (I so want him to qualify for GPF; it would be great for him to overcome the nerves once again!)
Silver: Brian Joubert (he's got the quad and a lot of determination, but his programs this year make me  a bit)
Bronze: Tomas (Because I simply don't know what to make of him right now. When he's on he's a contender but that doesn't appear to happen very often = [)

If Alissa takes a bronze once again, will she go to the Final?

As much as I would love for her to, another bronze wouldn't qualify her. Of course I don't know much about this stuff, but 2 bronzes (both worth 11 points) gets you 22 points total, which is below what appears to be the cutoff, 26. I think they also take the total scores from the competition into account as well, but I'm not sure.

I do hope she does well though! It was wonderful to see her smiling on the podium at SC.

And now I'm predicting her to finish anywhere from 2-5.

(Although I think Davis and White will probably outskate Domnina and Shabalin, I don't think they'll win in Russia)

if Caro will win ( i hope she won't do a disaster like in Canada) do you think she can get the final?
