Random Confessions

1)I kind of want Thanksgiving to be over just so I can decorate for Christmas because I am a Christmas Ho.
2)I am supposed to make the stuffing and I kind of forgot how.
3)Which is ok because last year the stores were not open and I had to make stuffing out of gas station ingredients such as plain bread and celery from the to go veggie snack packs. So i'm not doing too bad in comparison.
4) Am celebrating my 3 yr old's birthday tomorrow along with Thanksgiving, because, like many of my fellow GS posters, I am an introvert and don't like people enough to have a separate Birthday Party. So I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Unfortunately, I have not gotten him an actual present yet. ( I can just wait until his actual DOB though..and he's like 3 so the chances of him recalling this is very low)
5)I have 12 inservice hours to complete by the 30th of this month. I have no foreseeable plans on how I will do this. If I don't complete them supposedly I can't be allowed to work. Am tempted to just not do them so I can have some time off. With my luck, they would still make me work.
6) ^ Which isn't so bad because 3 years ago I was doing them when I was past my due date to have the child I have not gotten a birthday present for. So in comparison, I have improved some, as I actually thought about doing them in September this year compared to Nov 25th.
7) I still have Christmas garland hanging up from last year. I have thought several times about taking it down, however, each time I think to myself "Well I'm just going to have to put it up again in 3 months...2 months..." now it is paying off.
8) I have just realized in typing this that I may have a problem with procrastination. Also I have a hard time finishing the things I st

Just finished the pies. Pecan, Apple, and Pumpkin pies are all cooling ready for tomorrow! WHEW! This whole week has been cray-cray at work. I'm ready for a couple of days of chill.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating in US or anywhere else!:cheer::):ghug:

safe travels, lots of relax, great atmosphere, delicious food and everything you wish for in that day, cheers from Poland, still sitting at work, planning some minor splurge on Black Friday if salary will come tomorrow:laugh:

So am I, Lavander, except I know it will get worse. I hope I can last until Christmas before I have another anxious meltdown.

When I was skating today I was getting really down on myself (about the axel, what else is new?). To snap myself out of it I watched a youtube clip of the end of the movie 'The Shawshank Redemption'. It worked surprisingly well.

You will get that axel!! :cheer2:

#Humblebrag alert.

So this morning I ran a 5k race and I smashed my PR by more than a minute -- my goal was to break 30 minutes today and even beat my previous PR of 29:57, but I ended up with 28:47!!! I can't help but wonder if the sports gods decided that was enough sports victory given the men's FS today.

In all seriousness, I am so happy. I have trained really hard and honestly seeing my favorite figure skaters work so hard motivates me to do well in my own athletic pursuits.

When I was in high school, I couldn't even run a mile in 11 minutes. To know I could do more than 3 in a 9:15 mile pace is just amazing for me.

Also today marks 731 days since I started my running streak -- 1 mile a day everyday -- I hit 2 year mark tomorrow. I even kept the streak up at Boston Worlds (several GS members can vouch for me on this!)

So really have a lot to be thrilled about.
