Thanks Mige, for that link to Absolute Skate. I got carried away reading about Jamal.

The St Petersburg show read like it was quite a big thing with so many wonderful Russian skaters (including Sasha Abt) performing. Evgeni is the perrenial showman coming out with a crutch and then breaking it to show he can skate. Great fun.

Interesting report and am surprised that the comedy parts were poorly received. Perhaps skating fans really do want only skating! I remember going to the Torvill & Dean show in England (where Jane flies) and learned how family oriented these shows are including humor - certainly different from SOI and COI.
