I didn't know he had a vlog until someone mentioned that he talked about the podium incident with Yuzuru Hanyu's waist.

He is funny! :laugh: And very talented with video editing. I watched the latest video and then half the rest.

About the latest video... if I somehow won a billion dollars, the first thing I'd do would be to buy him a car with more leg room in the back seat. Did anyone else notice how little he had? :shocked:

For those you who didn't check the Canadian Figure Skating thread, I'm finally active again on this forum after going "missing" for several months. To make a long story short, I did finally get the operation that I needed for my life-threatening condition, so I'm no longer in danger of dying, but my recovery isn't going as well as hoped, so if my current symptoms don't improve after a certain amount of time, I may have to undergo another medical procedure. 😕


Since Roman didn't compete at the National Summer Series for the second year in a row (is he injured or sick?), I thought I would simply post links of his vlogs that aren't on his Fan Fest yet.

From the day in the life video it turns out there are not many top skaters training at that rink. To be honest, I unfamiliar with that school so I really like the part when he talks about how they divide they work and how he likes coaching and might wanna take on choreography in the future.

In the past, Roman used to hang out with several guys at the YRSA (e.g. Nam Nguyen, Conrad Orzel, Matthew Markell, etc.), but there are hardly any male skaters in his age group who train there anymore. But he's a coach now, so he doesn't have as much time to goof around like he used to.

I'm not at all surprised that he'd like to be a choreographer in the future because Roman grew up hero-worshipping Jeffrey Buttle, so in addition to the former's skating style being virtually identical to the latter's, being a choreographer would be yet another way for Roman to follow in his idol's footsteps. :)
 
Roman won the short program at the Skate Ontario Paris Autumn Skate a few hours ago (unless a fancam pops up, we won't get to see it because there is no livestream for this competition): https://skateontario.org/results/19S3/19S3SeniorMenCR.pdf I believe 84.25 is the highest he has ever scored in this segment, national or otherwise.

It's strange that the scores have a fairly wide range. :scratch2: It's as if the judges can't decide if his skating skills are good or mediocre.

Roman is in 3rd place after the SP at the Finlandia Trophy, and he beat his PB score in this segment by 8.2 points, breaking the 80-point barrier at an international competition for the first time in his career! :yahoo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1vMJqKqTGM


There was no under-rotation on the 4S-3T, he managed to land his nemesis the 3A, but then he was leaning too far forward on the 3Lz. That's too bad, because he could've scored closer to 90 if his performance was flawless.
