FS video is at Youtube, SP - at vk.com

Thank you. It wasn't there when I looked before.
What happened to Deputat's jumps? Is he rushing it because he wanted to match it to Bazarova? Or did he have his 'bad day'? the mistake on lift was also weird. Hope they won't get discouraged by these results.

Most important result of Final of Russian Cup of this season - Kristina ASTAKHOVA / Alexei ROGONOV prove that they deserve Worlds spot.
First place, almost no mistakes in FS.

And now begins not so important but very interesting part - Junior Ladies SP.
Anastasia Gubanova, Polina Tsurskaya, Alisa Fedichkina - world best sonograms.
Alisa Fedichkina - TES 36.29 in SP.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykdESkvC1u8 - very clean, technically complicated skating.

Polina Tsurskaya 61.27 34.19 27.08 only second now. Amazingly
Alice well done, but whether she will be enough to FS? We'll see. Now waiting for Nastya

What did Feditchkina do to beat Gubanova and Tsurskaya in the SP? Her technical mark is higher than theirs.

Konkina 05 Jul 2001, Junior from next season.
Revia 03 Apr 1999.
They have many Junior seasons in future.

They also have the youth olympics next year. I think they are at the moment the number 1 ice dancers in Russia eligible for the youth olympics.

Pair has very bad combination of age of partners.

This is not about what you were referring but indeed russian pairs have really bad combination of age when thinking about the youth olympics next year. I could't find any good eligible pairs.

For the ladies things looks great of course - Sotskova, Sakhanovich, Tsurskaya, Proklova and so on are all eligible. Who ever will Russia send they will have to do pretty great to match those who Russia sent at the previous youth olympics. Tuktamysheva and Sotnikova were 1st and 2nd at the previous youth olympics and their later careers has been highly successful as well.

By the way there are youth olympics spots to be taken at the upcoming world junior championships. The countries which will place at the podium will get 2 spots for that event in the youth olympics. Russia has a very good chance to get maximum 2 spot for all events.

What are the age criteria for pairs for the youth olympics? Ekaterina Borisova – Dmitriy Sopot could be age eligible. They are not any brilliant, but they were 4th at the Russian cup final. Maybe also Maria Chuzhanova - Denis Mintsev.

If the age criteria will be too narrow, it won't be only Russia who will struggle to send a pair. Other countries will struggle even more. (Like when ISU planned to decrease the age for male partner from 21 to 19 and then it had to be abandoned because there would be no junior pairs.)

At YOG-2012 were Ladies and Men born at 1996-1997 and male partners born at 1994-1997.

(Corrected by http://isuprod.blob.core.windows.net/media/177891/2014-22-08-wyog-2016-qs-isu-figure_skating-en.pdf )
At YOG-2016 will be Men and Ladies born at 1999-2001 and male partners born at 1997-2000.
Russia has enough talented skaters in this age range.
Medvedeva and Radionova are eligible.
Also there are Sotskova, Sakhanovich, Proklova, Tsurskaya, Fedichkina etc who are eligible too.
Very many pretenders in Ladies.
Petrov is eligible too, the same Aliev and Samoilov (1, 3, 4 places at JrNats-2015).
Most strong Juniors Shoma Uno and Boyang Jin - no. Good chance to others.

About podium at WJC-2015 and who will have two spots at YOG-2016 we will know in few days.
Worst chance Russia has in Men, in other disciplines I believe will be medals. Men also have good chance but worse than ther disciplnes.

Probably at YOG-2016 will be Men and Ladies born at 2000-2001 and male partners born at 1998-2001.

If you are right with the years, Maria Chuzhanova - Denis Mintsev won't be eligible because he will be too old, and Ekaterina Borisova – Dmitriy Sopot won't be eligible either because she will be too old. I wonder how many junior pairs across the world qualifies though. There is no point making competition if the age criteria are such that only 2-3 pairs from the whole world can compete.

ETA: the last time there was only five pairs who could compete. How much that is 'Olympics'?

Unfortunately Medvedeva (probably best Junior Lady for now) is not eligible. But there are Sotskova, Sakhanovich, Proklova, Tsurskay, Fedichkina etc who are eligible.

Yes, that's right. Singles must have born either 2000 or 2001 but male partners can be 2 years olders. By the way, I think Fedichkina is born 2002 therefor isn't eligible.

Who are the best pairs at this age group?

That must be a recent change on rules because a while back when I was reading these rules they stated that singles had to be born in 2000 or 2001 but now it says between 1999-2001. The male partners can also now be a year older.
