Schedule and ticket prices for 2026 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague

The Czech federation has published infos on the schedule, the ticket prices and the start of sales.

Here is all the info

I've already read someone from Czechia saying this is really expensive and they fear it might not sell out since figure skating apparently isn't that popular in Czechia, and they don't have a "star skater" like Ilia or Kaori...

They are indeed expensive - not US-like expensive, but considering some skaters may not be there I'm not sure it's worth the price.

omg, good luck trying to get many locals to buy tickets - or overseas visitors for that matter, with the added accommodation & travel costs, and with some stars likely to be missing. I was considering buying all events but I guess not, considering decent seats cost as much as a cheap seaside holiday package. Not a good marketing strategy I'd say. They're really milking this opportunity, but could well end up disappointed.

I already counted - for me, my son and my husband (without tickets, but with fun money for other stuff he wants to do in Prague) the trip would be roughly 2000 Euros if I find conveniently priced accomodation and if I decide to buy cat. 3 or 4... Eeeeeeek, I earn about 3000 Euros a month...

The cheapest two categories would be doable for me, but I personally don't see the point  If there's a concert or a spectacular show with many participants that's actually visible from up there (like Cirque du Soleil or Shen Yun), or if it's ice hockey where two teams are constantly whizzing all over the ice - sure, the uppermost seats make sense. But for FS, where I want to see clearly what one skater/pair/couple is doing on the ice, it's either the low row seats or middle row level seats ... or the jumbotron. I can watch the TV or stream at home, and that's exactly what jumbotron equates to. And I suppose many locals will arrive at exactly the same conclusion. They'll have national TV coverage for free, permanently archived to be watched anytime at will, so why bother... which I suspect most of the senior citizens will do, and there are not just a few of those among the FS audience. They might be out of luck with Japanese fans too, due to no direct flights... the logic behind those prices is truly astounding.

I'm a localish (commuter train away) and I'm surely going, I asked to be a volunteer and if not I think I will buy all 1st cat single skating events. It doesn't make sense to buy shit tickets for all events I think, I have a 75cal TV and a comfy soda at home.

After reading your post, I was very confused why you would buy 3 or 4 cats when you are planning to go to a figure skating competition:shrug:. But then I read Paulipau's post and I figured it out. 🤣

I've just tried to buy tickets - was just about to complete the purchase when I was timed out - the ticketing site is really user-hostile and so I've given up. Also, tickets are really expensive - I might have a rethink about going to Prague.

I bought tickets for the ladies' short and long, mens' and pairs long and the exhibition today at release time with the code that was given with the newsletter email. It was quite a battle and took nearly 2 hours :bang:in the middle of the night for me. I continued to get an invalid code message but kept trying and eventually came away with most of what I wanted. I saw in other places that a lot of people had issues with tickets being pulled out of their carts before purchase, but I didn't have that problem.
The price seems ok, but I'm in the US and our event prices are usually through the roof. Prague is a gorgeous city that I've always enjoyed, so this will make a nice vacation.
Good luck to anyone trying again on Thursday!

There still seem to be problems with ticketing, with error messages, etc, although the Ticketmaster site is easier than the Ticketportal one. It's a really clunky system - and much of the arena seems unavailable. I've given up. :angry3:

As someone who's gonna have this as their first BIG skating event, is section 106 okay? i got the 2nd row at the absolute end of the right side for the Women's FS and im absolutely terrified if the 'side' view is gonna take anything from my experience/if the lowest rows at the sides will have some sort of obstructed view... is there anyone experienced in going to these type of events here to help a girl out?:bang:

I still don't have the tickets and don't know what events I will buy apart from men because my boy wants to see Adam, Ilia and Yuma - so they'd better be there, but I already booked hotel for whole event. Not that there are many decent hotels for reasonable price and not very from arena left...

I don't have the tickets yet either but as far as hotels go, I'm surprised to hear that. Any hotel that's close to the B subway line, except for the farthest stations, should be a good choice as you'd be at the venue in less than 30 minutes (unless it's weekend or night, when wait times are long).

I don't really mind being in the higher seats. It is quite expensive, a single session costs in the same range as, or more than an all day Euros ticket, and the exho is waaay more. Still not the eye-watering cost of Olympic tickets, and I think we may go, but not sure how many sessions we'll go to.

I know Worlds is a bigger deal, but in an Olympic year, it could well end up with a not much better entrant list than Euros, with post-Olympic retirements. Not all disciplines will be equally impacted, I guess.
