Tremendous height on her landed jumps. Solid spins. Well deserved win!!
TES was 57.3!!!
First 100+ free skate score of the night.
Just over 160 total score. Her coaches screamed out!!
Wow!! This girl needs to be in Junior GP circuit next year. Tremendous talent right there!! Her 3S-3T is amazing!!
Aleksa finished a distant 2nd with another athlete in 3rd with 132.

Mely Ann is a huge talent. I spotted her last year in novices . Rose had a very rough skate

I thought Rose showed some fight after the first fall, but after the third fall, I think it took some of it out and led to the pop. First time competing the senior version of her program, so it's good to do it here before Challenge.

Mia Clarke,
She only has the easier triples. Loop, salchow (2) and toe loop (1 was doubled). but aside from the error on the second 3t, she is clean.
Skating to a cover of Losing my religion. I can live with the cover (though the original is so special to me and iconic) but then I would change her costume... it doesn't work with the music. (though the black is of course sensible).

More 100+ free skates than I anticipated.

I wonder if it is the skating skills. Cause most of the skaters get level 4 spins and level 4 steps. Is this the improved skating skills you talked about

104 for MRS. In first. I wouldn't say improved. Québec girls always focused on skating skills and presentation... until they realized that they wouldn't go to Nationals with just a salchow and a toeloop. THe young skaters now have bigger jumps.... but the style of skating is still very present. I hope the new jumpers keep decent skills with the new generations.

Marie-Maude reminds me of Meagan Duhamel when she skated singles. Attack. Explosiveness. Needs to work on skating skills though she has improved.
