Nor will I, euterpe. I know I'm in a minority, but I'm totally burnt out on Scotty Hamilton. I respect him, and I have nothing against him, and by all accounts he seems to be a very classy and generous guy. I'm just really tired of him.

Wylie's on contract with ABC, I doubt he'll be able to jump ship for just the oly games... though what do I know anymore lol

Well, I hope he realized this possibility before signing with Fox. I'd like to see someone a little more impartial in the commentator seat, but all commentators I have seen show bias of some sort. They should put people from a few countires in the booth, so they can cancel each other out.

Bob Costas doesn't know squat about skating and is so overly biased he probably would have claimed the Americans in ice dance were robbed had he been able to pull it off That man is soooooooooooooooooo annoying!


I think one of the reasons they don't have an international commentary team for the olys is because 1. they are probably going to be asked by their country's affliate and 2 because depending on where they are from they may not "translate" to the American public. IIRC Katia Gordeeva did a little commentary in 98 for CBS? how did she do?

I'm surprised Fox is broadcasting the show during Oly's. Doesn't make sense since there's skating on just about every night during Oly's - except for opening and closing ceremonies. I'd much rather watch Oly skating than Celebrity skating.

Misplaced, I wasn't thinking about the money aspect. I was thinking that if Scott really loves commentating at the Olympics, then it would suck if he missed out due to a scheduling conflict.

My bet is Brian. However don't forget I don't know about Dick, but Peggy's contract allows her to commentate for other network or we may just see more of Tracy Wilson.
