Looking at the protocols her TES is competitive enough when clean. She should really get decent GOEs as I really find her jumps exquisite - good height and flow out. Is she losing a lot by not having a 3-3? But I'm not complaining seeing two 2A-3T in her program as she does them beautifully. And if her 3-3 is not yet stable, I guess taking it out is preferable.
However, it's really the PCS that's holding her down. Hopefully she can get some of the PCS-inflation going around these days. Consistency is the key.

Point wise she doesnt lose any points and looking at the quality will (should) get higher GOE, but its affect on PCS is debatable, as long as she is consistent her PCS will increase

That's good then. I'm just not used not seeing 3-3 and it may have an effect on overall impression. But yes, right now consistency is what she needs.

Lately I’ve been watching her 2014 Worlds free skate, I love the music and her skating is just fabulous. Looking forward to seeing how she does at 4CC! Crossing my fingers and toes.

I'll never forget that FS!! I had first heard of and watched her in Sochi and wasn't blown away because she didn't really skate very well there. I remembered her programs but that was about it. Then at WC she had a rough SP but the cool thing was how she came storming back in the FS with a vengenence. Energy and grace took over and she layed it down. Her Slay count that night was amazing because I think she overtook like 9 skaters to move into the top 10. It was pretty epic. I'd be all for seeing her going lights out again.
Her Swan is my favorite program but that WC FS is my favorite performance. :yes:

That SP was magical! I've been thinking, the 2013-2014 season was So Youn's first senior debut season (she only skated as an international senior in 2014, not 2013), and her SP was that Swan program. Everyone remembers young and cute Mao skating to Nocturne in her senior debut season and then skating to it again in her second Olympic season, where she is more mature. Both versions were excellent (and the latter is one of my favourite programs of all time). So if So Youn brought back that her Swan SP later in her career like how Mao did with Nocturne, I'm sure it will also make a big impact.
4CC Ladies SP is just 2 days away! Like many others, I hope she can make a statement in this event!

Well, it had been worth it, right?I will be staying up early in the morning at 3 am to watch the short program.
So Youn, please make it worthwhile~!I want to see a PCS score that is NOT 25, and a total score that is NOT a 52-53. I am tired of her getting 52-53 all the time.
I was honestly pleasently shocked to see how well she did, considering everything that happened those last seasons. Very nice to see her fighting back! Hopefully it will continue that way. A clean (or near clean) performance for the FP will do, no matter if she finish in top 6 or not (though that would be great

AND FINALLY: Four Continents 2016: 62.49!!!!
A clean FP will get her near 130 (she got 125 at the Korean Winter Games, but now she's the last person in the last group and there is a bonus for that!) and may (dare I say) get her a MEDAL! She's the last person in the last group, so there is no way the judges are going to give her a 51 for PCS. YES!!!
FINALLLYY!Now go slay that FS like you did two weeks ago SYP!!!! You've done it before, so there is no reason you can't do it again~!!
