At the Korean Winter Games two weeks ago (the competition where she did a clean FS), she did:
3Lz
2A-3T
3F
3Lo
3S+2T+2Lo
2A-3T
3S
I think she will use this layout again, considering how her 2A-3T success rate is much higher than that of her 3S-3T.
She will do 3S in her 3-jump combo due to her also having a much success rate, rather than 3Lz.

Same here. But I'll accept her being 4th as that's a big improvement and she was also the only one other than the medalists to beat Gracie (no hate towards Gracie though)! Her reaction to the placement was so cute.

Oh, I totally get it. Had she skated cleanly, she would have landed on the podium. That being said, I am super, super proud of her 4th place finish. I really hope she uses this as motivation to become the star she was always capable of becoming. Well done, So Youn! Now, slay at Worlds!

Im soooo super proud of her and literally over the moon, im so happy that she finally was able to have her sparkle bach and have a positive outing in an iternational competition. Yes, her fall on the 3f ia regrettable, but 4th is really an amazing achievement and i hope this gives her a boost of self confidence!
i was seeing how her 3loop has become super consistent this season, she never missed it nor fell on it.
it would be great if she could repeat it twice with the salchow, maybe learing in the futer a 3x half loop 3s combination.

She needs to stop overthinking the flip and just go into it with a "snap"!, just like in the Korean Winter Games where her 3F was :luv17:
Well yes, you are right, at the winter games her jumps were simply to die for, all of them!
based on my observation, Soyoun's flip is not the same technique as Yuna's. after the 3 turn, she will hesitate and squre herself, change from outside edge to inside edge and then jump. whereas Yuna's flip is perfect textbook, straightly,purely inside edge after 3 turn. Soyoun's flip technique is similar to Zijun's.

So Youn's Salchow deserves its own fan fest thread 
At the Korean Winter Games, there was much less hesitation going into her 3F, which I think was the main factor for success in that jump.
I hope she keeps that in mind for the next competition.
