Maybe not 99% of threads but I'd agree if you amend your post to 99% of posts are about this. It really is funny isn't it.
99% of the threads on this forum are about this

How about Yuna's URs on 3T in 3L+3T, 3S and 3L, which weren't delivered in the protocol?Yuna deserved to be on the podium , she was almost clean and should have get better PCS.
Sometimes it seems like one could start a thread about the fluffiness of kittens, and within five pages it turns into a flame war about underrotations
Thank you, that's all what matters![]()
Can you be more specific? Maybe discuss a few of the actual elements and moments in the program to show what you mean by artistry.
Here for example I discussed why I thought Yuna's SP was so underwhelming and frankly a bit overscored in PCS. It's fine if others disagree, in fact it's natural but threads like this won't work if you just use words like better artistry. He is my breakdown of Yuna's SP and my critiques of that program.
Thoughts?
I think this thread topic is an earnest question. I, for one, have often raised eyebrows at scores. While I do not portend to be able to do a judges' job, I really do want to understand why I'm often surprised at scores and whether I'm justified to feel that way.
However, I take your point that having a judge, or someone in the know, will help this discussion much more than a bunch of blind leading the blind. I really hope this forum isn't just the latter case.
that makes the programm a little boring and more strategic rather tahn artisttic.
that she didn't use a StSeq to accomplish it when the music basically begs for. The judges hooked her up with a pretty high score though considering the performance so apparently the judges liked it. Thats my opinion for the artistry. I hope i managed to explain it well in English . For that reason , PCS score seems to me really high.Because i have seen better interpretatioins of R AND J .

Edit: Sorry, but it's so funnyAnd 5 stars for using that smiley in the end.

Honestly though, I'm curious as to what the process for becoming a certified ISU judge is? Can anyone just study up and get certified? I've always wondered, and I've googled competition judges to try to find their credentials and I can never find anything.

When the ISU host was reviewing Nugumanova's FS, he kept referring to her jumps as underrotated, one after another. Yet she got just ONE ur. In the SP, she got URs on two out of three jumps.
I was shocked when she got the highest FS score of all, as even to my eyes, many of her jumps were underrotated. She was behind Shiraiwa in the SP, so clearly, her score was "engineered" to ensure she got on the podium.
This event should have been thrilling, but it was as blah as leftover, lukewarm soup.
Alba who is a poster here did it. She took some courses and a test I believe in Italy. I don't think she ever started judging though....or she says![]()
when I read such threads more I want that user's nationality indication (if not mentioned by user, location through IP adress should be implemented) would be very helpful in such discussions. Also helpful would be indication of user's sex.
Mr. chuckm, as I remember you wasn't shocked when Samodurova was robbed of bronze medal in Yokohama... Now, this is maybe because american was beaten not only by korean (what becomes obvious in this season) but also by german junior ?
