I was bored, so I started thinking about what they could skate to next season. This year's programs suit them well, they are comfortable performing them and I like them a lot, but next year they'll need to do something more complex IMO. And I hope they stay away from the Hip Hop option in the SD (in fact I hope most of the teams stay away from that, I can barely think of anyone that could do it justice and it wouldn't end as a messy, try-hard trainwreck...). Anyway, perhaps something by Frank Sinatra in the SD? He's done a few really nice bluesy tracks:

"No one ever tells you": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX6e6bd22z8
"Blues in the Night": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFtfpyVHpsc

He also had a lot of great swing tunes you could combine with that. I don't know if these meet the music requirements for the SD, but I always wanted someone to skate to Sinatra and focus on the many really great albums he did with Capitol in particular, but he did interesting and subtle stuff later on as well, and not only on the obvious, rather simplistic hits like "New York, New York" or "Strangers in the Night" (not that there's anything wrong with them, they've just been used three billion times). I think that would suit S/K. :)

For the FD, I've always wanted someone to do a really intense, all-out rendition of Schubert's "Death and the Maiden" String Quartet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NKEHosQf2k

It's really great, haunting music where you could also do great contrasts between dramatic parts and rather soft, gentle parts in the score with clever editing. Marina tried this sort of "death dance" with C/L, but IMO it didn't work because it's just not in their wheelhouse as performers. OTOH, I think it could really work with Viktoria's and Nikita's strengths: You've got your basic plot already in the title and it would play to Viktoria's rather more delicate, soft performance style while Nikita could go all sharp and dramatic in contrast.

This is so so cool! I wish someone danced to it. Maybe even Bobrova/Soloviev :) I can only imagine how amazing this dance can be.

Not bad for SinKats. In 4th place after the SD, which IMO is their weaker dance, is not bad at all. Competition is tough this year. PC are back. CL are in much better shape this year than last year. And BS are back. So, 4th is very good.

They are less than 1 point away from 3rd, so overtaking BS for 3rd would not be impossible. I guess we'll see what happens.

Congrats on skating great here! Their TES was much improved and their PCS comparable to the first three, even though they skated two groups earlier. Very strong showing IMO. And yeah, the competition is tough this year and they looked right at home. Like a world class pair. They've really arrived. So proud of them.

I hope they can skate clean in the fd- curious to see the changes! May the twizzle gods be merciful to Nikita tomorrow as well...
