She's a young lady now - not just the polite way of saying girl in figure skating. Pretty face, lovely figure, intelligent, athletic. What more could a guy want?
As for figure skating, she has been going through some heavy times this year. There have been a few warm suggestions here on this thread. Of course, there are the snarky remarks too.
Getting through a slump is not easy - ask Joubert, Lambiel. However, it's her decision to push through or not. We can only suggest and hope,
Joe
Unless Kimmie is highly abnormal, she went through puberty years ago--like when she was 12 or 13. Teenagers do tend to fill out as they get into their upper teens but it has nothing to do with puberty.
When you see your rival who skated before you get on ice and delivered triple axel, two triple triple. No wonder she had that meltdown.
Wish her hand is ok.

jenaj - Can you really diagnose an abnormality in people? You could save the psyhologists a lot of time by giving them your secret. The Courts need to prove this to settle so many cases.Unless Kimmie is highly abnormal, she went through puberty years ago--like when she was 12 or 13. Can't help but think the feelings you have are yours if you were in Kimmie's skates. OK. It's lonely out there on the ice when you're waiting for the music to begin.I agree. I don't think Kimmie is having puberty issues, tech issues or coaching issues. I think it is psychological issues. She knows that both of her rivals when on or not attain huge scores, she has a 14yr old teammate nipping at her heels and I think she has lost confidence in herself and her skating. Ever since Kimmie has won worlds she has been in the spotlight doing shows, charity work, promoting this and that. I am not criticizing her for that but maybe she has to much on her plate and needs to step back and concentrate on her skating for Nationals. A win there will boost her confidence. I also think she thought she was under marked in her SP ( I did) and that set her up for failure in the LP. Well that is my armchair analysis and of course this is JMO.

I am so worried about the US obtaining 3 spots for the next worlds. We have so many talented skaters(Caroline, Mirai and Flatt) eligible next worlds and that would suck if we only qualify for 2 spots. We need both Ashley and Kimmie placing in the top 7. I can't think of any other skaters that is capable of doing that but these two right now. Kimmie just needs to focus on doing two clean programs and NO 3/3!! Why even bother when you know you are going to get downgrade it and loose more points.
I agree she keeps attempting the 3/3 and all season they've been downgraded. I don't understand why she keeps doing them and Pam says it depends on what the first triple is but all season they've been really cheated. Her triple toe's have gotten even worse. I thought she said she was going to be attempting loops this season
