Yulia Lipnitskaya

can you link me her askfm? i always forget her account.
oooh thank god! the rumours are so wild, she needs clarified herself. wish her all the best.

eta: nvm, i found it. and i saw 3 new updates. can anyone translate them?

Here you are

1) Yulia, Vaitsekhovskaya wrote thay you were in Moscow and some days later you would go to Sochi to get your departure clearance signed. You're not going to train at Sochi any more?
Yulia: Well, ok, I will know what I should do now for I haven't reflected upon it yet...Specialists know better (It was said with the obvious sarcasm)

2) Some rhymed rap lines from a fan mainly meaning that like always everybody tries to poke his nose in Yulia's affairs. Rather funny lines)
Yulia: Yeap, it's rap, baby!

3) Yulia, we're so glad to see you! Welcome back! Please, answer just one question which worries myself personally most of all, because of the dirty gossips. How is your health?
The health is cleaner than the gossips. Everything is still in process. I'm not in Moscow. I'm not going to Sochi (nearest time). I haven't been at resuscitation.

thank youuu. lol yulia's answer is amusing as always.

I am VERY glad to hear that at least whatever she's dealing with doesn't seem life threatening and appreciate that she was good enough to answer at least one question about her health in a genuine and detailed enough way. Like everyone else I really just do hope for her that she is or will be healthy, and also happy. Her career has given me a lot of joy, there's nothing else I want from or for her but for her to be healthy and happy.

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster.
I just found this interview with Urmanov on youtube, and I think it's pretty new... I didn't see it discussed on here, but I might have missed it. Could anyone possibly translate? Urmanov talks about Yulia at 8:00

There is new interview with Urmanov
https://www.business-gazeta.ru/article/343684
Google translator says that he is meeting Julia this weekend and they'll talk about what to do next and official comments will appear early next week.
Can someone confirm it because I'm not sure this translation ?

It is correct.
He also says that her health is a lot better. But he wants to hear from her in person (not on the phone) what they´re going to do next.

Too many retirements this month already....:sad21: Whatever they decide in the end, I hope she lays it all on the table with no regrets moving forward.

Her coach will work almost a whole August with kids at the training camp in Sochi : https://www.instagram.com/p/BTRhroJhVyt/?taken-by=sboryvsochi Will he still have time for Yulia or it means she won't back :sad21:?

Yesterday I read- but I don't remember where, and I don't know this is true or not. I read many forums and I hoped I can read more infos here. But there is nothing about it - she will change her coach again. And she will name it later.

I certainly hope not...she had something good going on with Urmanov...just unfortunate how she always has so much bad luck. My gut tells me she's retiring, but I don't think I could take it after Mao...

Who would even be available? Eteri obviously won't (more like, can't) take her back...any one of the other Russian ladies' coaches would genetate conflict for sure...

Praying for St. Tarasova tbh...my nightmare scenario would be Plushenko.

Well, I wouldn't mind a trip to Champery, to be honest. But it's gotta be someone from Russia, so who knows. Not like she would accept anyone that doesn't really have her best interests at heart.

Plushenko can't be a nightmare scenario! Never! Anyway, if she does indeed change her coach there are not many good possibilities for her ... this is the Olympic season. It's the worst possible time to change coaches. I doubt that Tarasova could help her at this point in her career. A technician is needed.
I just hope she hasn't got any ongoing health issues ...

The problem is that changing coaches now would be difficult.
First of all RusFed doesn't like when Russian skaters train outside Russia and from what I know Yulia has neither foreign roots (or at she hasn't mentioned them) nor she lived abroad to skate for another country
Even if she could train abroad I don't know if Champery is a good option. Stephane has a lot of novice students besides he is probably concentrated now on Deniss.
Plushenko isn't nightmare scenario but it will be his first season as a coach so we don't know what to expect
Eteri is not an option. She and Yulia didn't part on good terms.
The other coaches will probably be busy with their top students in Olympic season.

First of all we need to wait for official statement about Yulia's health and her decision about her career

Rumour has it that she'll announce her retirement soon because she has an injury that's not compatible with elite sports. I hope she will perform in shows - she has such a wonderful musicality and I'm not ready to let go off her as a figure skater just yet. But mostly I hope that it's all not true.

Whatever she chooses to do - to retire or to get a new coach - I hope she continues to bring people happiness, joy, and inspiration.

Edit: If a new coach, I want it to be Brian Orser!
