The only conern about that is not too much time for getting back to shape, from what I found after time sheduled by doctors he can come back to his activities normally

Ya, I'm jumping on the he should skip Worlds bandwagon. It's such a shame and at this point I hope he keeps his SP and LP for next season, because I want to see them fully realized.

the outcome may depend on some factors, i.e. If there was an infection or not and if they were able to perform laparoscopic surgery or not. It sounds like an acute episode ,maybe after some chronicle symptoms... praying for a very speed recovery!!GOOO YUZUUUU!!!!

No, he will lose all the GP Series but wins GPF, he will make it to 2 more Olympics and wins 2 more Gold medals and wins WCs. He will then retire, marry Kanako and travel around the world to give figure skating coaching clinics (which my future children will attend) and they will make a movie about him and wins Oscar for best foreign language category. I would say stay optimistic it isn't any severe thing overall, and it has nothing to do with his skating affecting his body, it was propably always in him, just went out now, and he had this time actually some luck that this went out now , not in 1 month so it would throw him out of worlds

What is the urachus?

The urachus is a remnant of a channel between the bladder and the umbilicus (belly button) where urine initially drains in the fetus during the 1st trimester of pregnancy. The channel of the urachus usually seals off and obliterates around the 12th week of gestation and all that is left is a small fibrous cord between the bladder and umbilicus called the median umbilical ligament.

What are the disorders of the urachus and the symptoms?

Disorders of the urachus occur when there are abnormalities with the sealing off of the channel during fetal development. There are at least 4 types of urachal abnormalities seen.

This occurs when a section of the urachus did not seal off, but there is not a connection between the bladder and umbilicus. Often, this is asymptomatic and is only detected when an ultrasound is performed for other reasons.

Speedy and complete recovery for Yuzuru, wish he can defend his title but his health is first.

SURGERY?????? All this time Yuzuru was skating through the pain, and the hard fall on his quad sal probably made it worse. Thank goodness he went in for that check up. If he didn't, I think he would've just ignore it as a typical stomach pain and went on with his life. Hang in there, Yuzuru. This crazy season is almost over. Wishing him a speedy recovery! He's gonna need it.
