He didn't say he was happy or not. He moved to Orser because he want to improve his skating, simple as that. His speed has improved, his edge gets deeper, his stamina, his attitude... He has come a long way and whether he feels happy at Canada or not no one could deny the fact that he has improved vastly ever since he moved to Toronto.
If his goal is to improve and continue till 2018, then it doesn't matter to him that he wants to stay at home and practice alone, he might wants to, but it will not help him in the long term. No one can help him fix the technical issues with the 3lz3T and 4S just by skype or imessage. Orser's team help him set up his programs, adjust each transition and spin, choreography and he is following their advices... All those things couldn't be fully prepared had he done it all by himself.
I never say he is happier in Canada than in Sendai, but he is a disciplined person and he knows he couldn't do anything alone.
In the end it's like going to work/school. Do you like getting up too early every morning and go outside in the cold weather? Do you feel happy? You don't have to feel happy. It's all business and it has to be done. But the work you have been doing certainly helps you a lot.

This conversation is really weird to me. If he weren't recovering from health issues then I would find it a bit odd that he's not back in Canada yet but given everything that's happened to him this season I find it a stretch to say him staying at home for recovery says anything about his desire to stay with Orser.
:agree: I think his love for Sendai was proved many times with his hard work.
(Yuzu is really amazing, he knows what he wants and knows how to achieve that.)

Second this. Just read the complete translation of "Team Brian". In this book Yuzu said the same in the first chapter, conversations with Brian.

I actually was thinking how long would it take to eat a chocolate this size ? And how do you made something that bit?

As he is recovering, I have no any doubts why he is still sitting in Sendai. This season was very hard to him and he lacked of training, he needs to work his 4s, spins, steps and choreo. Yes, Yuzuru loves his country and town but he is very disciplined person, so he understands that in Toronto he is in best hands and if he wants second Olympic gold Toronto is the best option. Getting to Brian was Yuzuru's wish because he saw that javi improved a lot in his technique.Brian mentioned in his book that Yuzuru called him and said: "I want to train with coach Brian" and after Brian'd flown in Japan. If you look at these persons you will see that they have excellent mutual trust and it is not easy to get Hanyu's trust. I believe that JSF understand that it will be nonsense to make him leave BO.Also Knowing Yuzuru from Junior I'm sure that will not leave BO until he reaches his goals. I think it's too early to raise a panic there is still 1.5 month left till WC, let's wait what will happen.
