Thanks for the explanation about zayaking; I only knew about repeating the same triple no more than twice, not the other rule. I know I can find my answer here!

He hugged everyone in the kiss and cry and then high-fived everyone too. He said" arigatoo" after his ending pose.

For those of you jumping so quickly on the 4s bandwagon, remember that gorgeous 4T he jumped in the SP?

Now hopefully he can unleash his goofy self tomorrow in the kiss and cry! Team Japan was great today. Congrats to Mura for third place finish too!

Zayak also includes the doubles now, but he only did two 2Ts so no worries. He's quick on his feet. He probably plans these scenes out. Didn't he say in an interview once that he likes doing figure skating math or something like that?

I don't think the 3T was planned. Looked like he bailed out as he was coming down, but nicely landed either way

He's really fanatically in love with fs! Just like how Romeo /phantom loves Juliet/Christine!!

I think he popped 4T into 3T at NHK, so he probably made a backup plan in case he pops 4T again.

I think the only time I remember Hanyu ever zayaking was at CoR 2010 - his debut season! I think it amazes me more than it should bc one of my favorite skaters always had bad luck with zayaking :'(

Yeah Hanyu did much better here than in NHK with regards to popping into 3T - there he did 1A to avoid repeating 3A again, but here he did 2T to avoid repeating 3T again - far fewer points lost Plus, he was in a good-enough state of mind to do the tano! (Although, come to think of it - he never does 2T without tano - maybe he only knows how to do it with tano jk)
