What picture? In glasses? Isn't it an old one? I had a sense that I've seen it before. I might be wrong though.I was wondering about that, didn't Nam posted a pic of them last weekend?

But it will be hard for giving up his ina bauer as it is one of most beatifull across all including ladies
Well you kinda expect ladies to do it beautifully whereas Yuzuru's is a pleasant surprise. As much as I like his biellman I also hope he will give up on this to not push his back. I don't want him to be totally as his master Plushy with screws in his backBut it will be hard for giving up his ina bauer as it is one of most beatifull across all including ladies

Here's another article about his injury. I've tried to translate it to the best of my knowledge. Since I have no medical knowledge, I might have not done a very good job in this translation.
Hanyu Yuzuru Absence From Of First Competition This Season
Back Bones Deformation
Required 4 Weeks of Bedrest
On the 23rd, Japan Skating Federation has announced that Hanyu Yuzuru (19)(ANA), men figure skate gold medalist from Sochi Olympics, has withdrawn from Finlandia Trophy (opening on Oct 10, Espoo, Finland).
According to authorized personnel, due to deformation of his intervertebral disc on his back, he requires 4 weeks of bedrest. Hanyu, currently located in Toronto, Canada, is said to be refraining from practice. If his condition is not improving, he might have to withdraw from Grand Prix (GP) Cup Of China (Shanghai) opening on November 7.
do you think deviated/deviation or alternatively perforated/perforation, or on that end ruptured, or hernia/herniated, might be the translation for deformation? Because those are things I am familiar with, well in their existence. Or did you pick deformation because it straddles the two intentionally (i.e. so you could avoid questions like this, if so I am sorry)?
geez; I'm going to believe the myofascial (muscle injury); that came from JSF right? I mean 'authorized personnel' means who? because I don't want to think about disc damageHere's another article about his injury. I've tried to translate it to the best of my knowledge. This article sounded more serious than the rest of the articles. I honestly hope this is not true and he will recover fully before COC.
IMO, no matter what direction some press would try to lead Yuzu’s injury and withdraw from upcoming tournaments, it is somehow complicated referring to JP skating competitive ecosystem which we as outsiders could not clarify the truth indeed.
Instead, I might to urge all of you to take positive action to express our considerations and cheering to Yuzu and his team. Hope they can get some delighted messages from fans besides the mass insincere assumptions around.
Please write your support email to Yuzu or Borser Team at The Cricket Club: [email protected]

I know where you're coming from. I pick the word "deformation" because the title says "腰の骨変形"
腰の骨 is "hipbone / backbone"
変形 is "change of shape / deform / transform"
Honestly I don't think his injury is THAT serious. Like I said, I have no medical knowledge and so the choice of word might not be the best fit. What do you think is the best choice of word in this case?
I understand, I just thought I'd toss it out in case it set off any light bulbs.
The former (deviated/deviation) would be something used to describe being out of alignment. It is more often used. . . well in cases that would be odd here, but out of alignment can be somewhat vague and refer to a lot of stuff. It also does get used with the perforated/perforation/hernia/herniated issues. That. . . can be bad and can happen somewhat out of the blue (had a co-worker who claimed she felt it happens suddenly while jogging - she needed surgery). It is basically when the discs cushions between the vertebrae actually pop/rupture and can need surgery. To be honest I am sorta hoping it is not that. Somewhat hoping it is some sort of deviation and nothing ruptured.
Then again, we are also trusting the news report is both accurate and clearly understood so. . . who knows.
