https://twitter.com/yuzueco/status/929945693912891394 -I'm glad he's spending this down time to visit home, and feel the support of his fans and hometown.

:palmf: This boy, he just can’t simply rest, right? I am glad that he feel like receiving the good vibe from fans and he must be thinking so hard how to thanks his fans in return when he can’t skate.:

Kanako is such a joy to watch :rofl2: (so is Yuzu, lol)

This article includes the latest comments by Orser and Tracy.

“Yuzu told me that what motivates and inspires him is trying new things and challenging himself,” Tracy Wilson, who helps Brian Orser in coaching Hanyu at the skater’s Toronto training base, said in a Tuesday text message. “He told me that he wants to push the sport and this approach keeps it interesting for him.

“This has been his stance since the beginning of last season when he decided to add the (quad) loop. He didn't need the loop last year and did it on his way to record-setting performances.”

Orser, who did not go to NHK because he was recovering from gall bladder surgery, sees it essentially the same way.

“As you know, Yuzu is very competitive and still young,” Orser said in a Monday text.

Orser demurred on the question of whether he will counsel Hanyu to forget the quad lutz, which he executed impressively in the free skate at October’s Rostelecom Cup Grand Prix event in Russia.

https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20171115-00000310-oric-ent At this P&G promotional event, Yuzu's voice appeared as a 'Voice of an Angel' with a life sized panel of him asking questions in a quiz.

 I wonder if videos of this will appear?

Plushenko and Matsuoka were also there and gave their words of support to Yuzu's recovery.

And I totally forgot, but this article reminds me that there will be a new advertisement on the 17th

I really wish he will drop 4lz
It's not worth it, he can risk it after olympics

He is more than good enough to win olympics with just 4T and 4S, but he can loose it just because he will be tossing coin with 4lz

Plushenko's comments

"If you have a solid axis within yourself, you are sure to be recovered. Yuzuru has a solid axis, I believe he will show his skating to the world in the Olympics."

"I think he can win in the coming Olympics and I think he will win."

"He needs the correct approach to the Olympics. I don't think he has to force himself in doing quads. I think Yuzuru only needs to do everything he is good at. Yuzuru has charisma, high artistry, and his body is also very supple. And since he is the one and only, the result will be decided (in the Olympics) if he is healed properly, uses his brain calmly, performs what he loves very much."

(When Matsuoka asked him if Yuzuru should remove 4Lz)
"Yes (he should not do 4Lz). As I said, he should do the work he has been gaining since he was 4 years old."

"I suppose he will be able to do quads, because he can do it and he won't be able to stop himself from challenging it. (But) I don't think he needs 4Lz this time. Although it is necessary to see what other skaters do, it is enough to do 3 quads. Because his skating is different (from others')."

(As necessary things for Yuzuru for the remaining period before the Olympics,)
"It is to be in the closed situation, keep away from friends and the press all the time for a while. I want him to go (to the Olympics) at the most peaked condition. "

-As a member of the press, Matsuoka's advice, is 'stay away from the press' It's true, he needs to focus without distractions and make his decisions calmly.
Most of the FS world probably thinks (and I agree) that he doesn't need the 4lz to win, but the final decision needs to be one that Yuzu himself believes in 100%. He must win or lose by his own decisions --to do anything else is against his nature.

Another comment from Plushenko

http://news.mynavi.jp/news/2017/11/15/176/

(When the press said "only 100 days left until the Olympics")
"It is not good to think that only 100 days remain. Yuzuru himself thinks he will succeed, so we have to support him. If I talk from my experience, I had surgeries just before the Olympics of 2006 and 2010, but I was able to perform. Besides, Yuzuru does not have to undergo surgery. I also know Japanese doctors are wonderful."

By the way, Plushenko says he had 15 surgeries in total and 3 were on his back :hopelessness:

Oh Matsuoka

While I agree that Yuzu doesn't need the quad lutz to win, I am not against him leaving it in his program even if I feel this is true. Whether or not there's even a decision to be made to take it out is unknown, but I have a hard time envisioning a program without the lutz without him at least testing it out in competition once before the Olympics.

"I think it is enough for him to do 3 quads. After all, Hanyu's skating is completely different from other skaters'. I am not praising him pointlessly by no means, I am just telling the facts. The way of rotating (the jumps) and the way of skating are different from other skaters'. To grab the audience's hearts is also what Hanyu only can do. If he participates in the next Olympics, he will need 4Lz there, but I don't think he needs it this time."

Translating all these comments, I started feeling like Plu san is the biggest fan of Hanyu

When Yuzuru was asked, "Which makes you more nervous, shooting CM or skating competitions?", he answered, "The character of the nervousness is different (in those two), so I can't say anything." And he said, "(while he is waiting for shooting CM) If I describe my feeling right now in one word, it is going to be "a doll" (laughs)". :laugh2:

They have so much mutual appreciation. I remember this summer, Yuzu was cheering and waving the Plushenko fan while watching him perform, and that hilarious picture they took together back stage.
