You wait ages for a bus, and two come along at once! Zhasmin's second competition less than a week after her last one.

Couldn't spot her on the aerial shot. Far too high - it was like watching ants.

Took a long time for me to spot her when they went down to ground level. She wasn't wearning her jacket, and I couldn't remember what her SP dres looked like. And it didn't help that the director was constantly cutting between skaters.

We saw her do a nice combination jump. And then a few moments later a nice individual jump. ANd then we saw her taking off for another jump, but it cut to...

Not the best landing on opening Triple Loop.

Beautiful combination jump

Double Axel beautiful

Combination Spin went much better than in Warm-Up

Step sequence beautiful

I thought Flying Sit Spin was beautiful, but it is under review.

Final Spin beautiful, but awkward getting into finishing position.

And, like last week, she does a cartwheel in between her bows. 🤸‍♀️

There was nobody else commenting at this stage. They were concentrating on the Junior Grand Prix in Gdańsk.

Looking at the Protocols, Zhasmin's only issue was the opening element, the Triple Loop. It got the only negative GOE of the programme, at -0.82. But, because of having the second highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the second highest scoring element of the programme. It also got the only all negative set of Judges marks, with three -2's; and two -1's.

In fact, for the rest of her elements, Zhasmin only got two other negative Judges marks. The first was a -2 from Judge 4 for the fourth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin. The other Judges marks for it were +1 from three Judges; and +2 from Judge 2. And the second was a -1 from Judge 5 for the sixth element, the Flying Sit Spin. The other Judges marks for it were 0 from three Judges; and +2 from Judge 1.

Apart from the opening Triple Loop, the GOE ranged from neutral for the aforementioned Flying Sit Spin; to +0.43 for the Step Sequence done just before it.

Zhasmin is currently 1.99 points behind 6th position, Anna SANNIKOVA (KAZ), and 0.02 points ahead of 8th position, Veronika LUCKO (LTU). All three of them are part of a group of 13 skaters covered by 10.60 points, stretching from Sienna KACZMARCZYK (AUS) in 4th position, 2.78 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Valeriya ZORKINA (KAZ) in 16th position, 7.82 points behind Zhasmin.

With a group this big, anything can happen. She could move up, or she could move down. Truth be told, if she has a good Free Skate, there is even a chance of getting onto the podium, because Arina KALUGINA (AZE) in 3rd position is 4.82 points ahead of her.

So let's hope she does have a good Free Skate!

The Junior Ladies FS is due to start at 13:30:00 AQTT (08:30:00 GMT / 09:30:00 BST / 14:30:00 KGT). So 4 hours from now.

The Group 3 Warm-Up is due to start at 15:11:20 AQTT (10:11:20 GMT / 11:11:20 BST / 15:11:20 KGT). So 5h 41m from now.

Zhasmin is due to start at 15:39:50 AQTT (10:39:50 GMT / 11:39:50 BST / 15:39:50 KGT). So 5h 9m from now.

Zhasmin finished 11th out of 20 in the FS, with a score of 81.42. This meant that she dropped to 10th position overall, with a score of 128.31.

Typical! The adverts in the Formula 1 practice finish just as the resurfacing ends and Zhasmin's group start their Warm-Up! :rolleye:

Well, I'll use this as a placeholder for when I come to watch the Warm-Up.

Ah, Zhasmin was the first skater we saw close up. But, since she was heading away from camera and not doing anything, they quickly switched to another skater.

Barely 10 seconds later, we were back with Zhasmin. And she started lining up a jump, which she executed beautifully. And no sooner did her blade touch the ice than we were away again.

But not for long. We then saw her...

Formula 1 Free Practice 1 has just finished and gone to adverts, and my kid is coming on to skate! :biggrin:

However, I know fine well that the adverts won't be long enough to let me see her programme in it's entirity, so I will start catching up on her Warm-Up now, and finish watching the Warm-Up and the programme when the F1 broadcast finishes in 15 minutes time.

Now that I've got used to her doing sultry in the results area, I notice it in the choreography at the start.

Double footed landing in opening Double Loop.

Combination jump beautiful.

Abrupt landing on the Triple Lutz.

Not sure whether that will be classed as a fall or a double hands down on the Triple Salchow.

Unsteady landing on the Triple Toe.

Combination Spin beautiful.

First jump in sequence beautiful, second one a bit diagonal, third one fine.

There was nobody else commenting during this competition. They were concentrating on the Junior Grand Prix in Gdańsk.

Looking at the Protocols, they are what is to be expected. Five elements with negative GOE, ranging from -2.15 for the fourth element, the Triple Salchow, to -0.62 for the opening element, the Double Loop. The Protocols only tell us what the issue was with three of the elements, so I will focus in on them.

The third element, the Triple Lutz, was under-rotated. It got the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.42; and -3 from all five Judges.

The forth element, the Triple Salchow, was the one that she fell on. It got the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.15; and -5 from all 5 Judges.

In the seventh element, the Double Flip-Double Axel-Double Toe done in sequence, the Axel was landed on the quarter. It got the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.66. However, because it had the second highest Base Value of the programme, it remained as the second highest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from four Judges; and -1 from Judge 3.

Moving away from the elements with negative GOE, and the eigth element, the Double Salchow-Double Toe, had neutral GOE. It got 0 from four Judges; and +1 from Judge 3.

The remaining elements had positive GOE, ranging from +0.18 for the final element, the Camel Spin, to +0.83 for the ninth element, the Choreographic Sequence. All the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were +1 or +2.

Zhasmin finished the Free Skate 0.43 points behind 10th position, Karina SHEINA (KAZ), and 4.58 points ahead of 12th position, Sabina BOTINA (KAZ). Zhasmin is the bottom skater in a group where 3 skaters are covered by 1.87 points, stretching up to Veronika LUCKO (LTU) in 9th position.

Overall, Zhasmin finished 2.16 points behind 9th position, Lucko, and 0.97 points ahead of 11th position, Sheina.

If I am totally honest, I had a feeling that Zhasmin would have issues in the Free Skate. Doing back-to-back events is a big ask. So, I was not surprised that it caught up with her.

The worst of it is, it is not over. She is actually doing back-to-back-to-back events. She is back in action on Thursday in the Junior Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

Once she has completed her 3 events in 3 weeks, I really hope she gets a good rest for her birthday!

The Junior Ladies SP is due to start at 14:00:00 GST (10:00:00 GMT / 11:00:00 BST / 15:00:00 AQTT / 16:00:00 KGT). So 6 hours from now.

Zhasmin will be the 8th skater to start. So, third skater to go in Group 2.

The Group 2 Warm-Up is due to start at 14:36:30 GST (10:36:30 GMT / 11:36:30 BST / 15:36:30 AQTT / 16:36:30 KGT). So 6h 36m from now.

Zhasmin is due to start at 14:55:00 GST (10:55:00 GMT / 11:55:00 BST / 15:55:00 AQTT / 16:55:00 KGT). So 6h 55m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Zhasmin finished 22nd out of 35 in the SP, with a score of 44.64.

Unfortunately, I got mixed up between the two competitions that I had kids. I had it in my mind that Zhasmin was skating in Group 4 when she was actually skating in Group 2. So, during the Warm-Up I was busy writing a post about something else. But, I have now gone back and watched the archived livestream, so here is the sort of post I would have written about the Warm-Up in the competition thread if I had been paying attention:

Drat! I thought Zhasmin was in Group 4!!! I was busy replying to a comment rather than listening to Ted and Mark, so I didn't realise it was her!

I got mixed up with my kids competing at the Trialeti Trophy. They are in Group 4. :palmf: :slink:

This is actually her third competition in as many weeks. Baku for the Junior GP, then the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge last week, and now here for another Junior GP.

You could see doing back-to-back competitions was catching up with her in the FS in Almaty a few days ago. So, I was nervous for her this week.

She turns 17 on Wednesday week (yesterday fortnight).

If I am totally honest, I feel the same. But, this is different, as it is not during the programme.

Looking at the Protocols, there were only two elements that Zhasmin had issues with and, curiously, they were both spins. The first was the fourth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin which I had said was a bit wonkey. It got the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.51. It also got -4 from three Judges; -3 from three Judges; -2 from Judge 1; and 0 from two Judges.

The other was the final element, the Layback Spin, which I actually thought was beautiful. Maybe it was the way she jumped out of it to get into her finishing position that they didn't like. Whatever the reason, it got the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.19. It also got -2 from two Judges; -1 from six Judges; and 0 from Judge 6.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.06 for the second element, the Triple Toe-Double Toe, to +0.56 for the penultimate element, the Flying Sit Spin. Apart from a solitary -1 from Judge 1 for the aforementioned Triple Toe-Double Toe, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +3.

Zhasmin is currently 0.76 points behind 21st position, Reese ROSE (CAN), and 0.60 points ahead of 23rd position, TONG Ruichen (CHN). All three of them are part of a group where 14 skaters are covered by 12.94 points, stretching from Alayna COATS (USA) in 18th position, 2.90 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Regina LLADO FERNANDEZ del CAMPO (MEX) in 31st position, 10.04 points behind Zhasmin.

That was using my usual guide of using 2.00 point gaps to define groups. If I cut it down to 1.50 point gaps, then all three of them are part of a group where 9 skaters are covered by 5.21 points, stretching from Alayna COATS (USA) in 18th position, 2.90 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Vianna Shen-Rou LINKE (SGP) in 26th position, 2.31 points behind Zhasmin.

With being the middle skater in this smaller group, it demonstrates that this could easily go either way. She could so easily go up or down in the Free Skate.

So let's hope she has a good Free Skate to make sure it is up she goes!

Thank goodness the camera is not frantically jumping all over the place like in Almaty last week.

Zhasmin crept into shot a few times. Including when she was doing a jump close to the camera just at the edge of the shot. It was actually surreal to see.

When the camera came to focus on Zhasmin, we saw her do a beautiful jump out of no-where! Then she circled around and did another beautiful jump. And then a beautiful combination spin. And then a beautiful Layback SPin.

And then the Warm-Up ended. And she was the last to leave the ice.

She looked good!

Finally, German member @Jumping_Bean was actually commenting about the skater on directly before Zhasmin, TONG Ruichen (CHN), but the first part relates to Zhasmin too. So I will add it into this post anyway:

Seems like a few skaters are having a difficult time today :( Ruichen looked so strong at the Chinese Interclub League stages, I really hope she can get back to that for Nationals (and that she won't take another full year off from competition or quit altogether).

Looking at the Protocols, although there was one small surprise, it was as to be expected. The elements that she fell on were the only real issues, and everything else was pretty good.

I'll take the elements she fell on together. The third element, the Triple Lutz, was under-rotated, and got the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.36. The seventh element, the Triple Flip, was also under-rotated, and got the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.12. The eighth element, the Triple Toe, got the third biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.10. Unsurprisingly, all three of them got -5 from all nine Judges.

There was actually one more element that had minus GOE. The fifth element, the Double Loop, had the smallest GOE hit of the programme, at just -0.02. It also got -1 from two Judges; 0 from six Judges; and +1 from Judge 7.

For the rest of the elements, apart from a -1 from Judge 6 for the fourth element, the Triple Salchow-Double Toe, all the Judges marks ranged from 0 to +2. The aforementioned Triple Salchow-Double Toe was the only element that got neutral GOE. The elements with positive GOE ranged from +0.13 for the final element, the Camel Spin, to +0.56 for the sixth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin.

All the skaters behind her had programmes with lower Base Values than Zhasmin's programme. Two of the skaters ahead of her had programmes with lower Base Values, but they had fewer issues than Zhasmin. So, in short, she finished where she should have.

Zhasmin finished the Free Skate 2.58 points behind 24th position, Ariel GUO (HKG), and 2.41 points ahead of 26th position, Vianna Shen-Rou LINKE (SGP).

Overall, Zhasmin finished 8.24 points behind 22nd position, Lia LYUBENOVA (BUL), and 1.37 points ahead of 24th position, Sofya TITOVA (ARM). Zhasmin is at the head of a group of 5 skaters covered by 5.86 points, stretching down to Audrey LEE (MAS) in 27th position.

I know I was commenting at her first Junior GP that it is always nice to see Zhasmin because we don't get to see her too often, but I hope that she and her team never do this again. Competing in three events in three consecutive weeks was too much for her.

But, at the same time, I can understand why it happened. The two Junior GP's she competed at were the two that were closest to Kyrgyzstan. And the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge was not only held in the country of her birth, but Almaty is actually only a 150 mile drive from Bishkek.

It made sense to do these three events. It was just unfortunate that they were positioned where they were in the season calendar.

I said it last week, and I will say it again. I really hope she gets a good rest for her birthday!

I hope that you have an enjoyable day, and that the coming year is a good one for you, both on and off the ice.

Everybody knows that I have a soft spot for skaters from small Feds. And I also enjoy what I like to term "little witches" - skaters who are doing spooky programmes. So, when I saw Zhasmin for the first time, and she was doing not one but two spooky programmes, I knew straight away that I wanted to adopt her. And then when I discovered that we have something personal in common, it seemed like fate.

Zhasmin is one of those skaters that you can't help but take a liking to. Somebody recently described her as "quirky", and that is exactly the right work to describe Zhasmin. She has her own style and personality, and I love it!

Now that she is getting older, we are getting to see more aspects of Zhasmin's personality. This season, she has started to show us that she is really good at being sultry, both during the programmes and afterwards when waiting for her scores. And she has also shown us her fun side, with what has very quickly become her signature move - using a cartwheel to transition from bowing to one side of the audience to the other.

She may be young, but this girl is already showing us that she has all the ingredients for becoming a real fan favourite. She's not afraid to be herself, and to be different from the others. And that makes her all the more interesting to watch.

Zhasmin, keep doing what you are doing, because it is working!

Zhasmin finished 9th out of 25 in the SP, with a score of 41.37.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Merano Trophy, as I was concentrating on Four Continents and the Volvo Open Cup.

Looking at the Protocols, Zhasmin had issues with the first two elements, but everything went well after that.

The opening element, the Triple Loop, was downgraded, and she fell. It had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -1.96, which meant that it went from having the second highest Base Value of the programme, to being the lowest scoring element of the programme. Unsurprisingly, it got -5 from all five Judges.

In the second element, the Triple Lutz-Single Toe, the Triple Lutz was landed on the quarter and the Single Toe was an invalid element. It had the biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -2.95, which meant that it went from having the highest Base Value of the programme, to being the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It also got -5 from all five Judges.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.22 for the third element, the Double Axel, to +0.52 for the fourth element, the Flying Sit Spin. Apart from a -2 from Judge 4 for the aforementioned Double Axel, and a -1 from Judge 5 for the fourth element, the Change FOot Combination Spin, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +2.

Zhasmin is currently 3.94 points behind 8th position, Vivi NURMI (FIN), and 0.71 points ahead of 10th position, Sofia ROTA (ITA). Zhasmin is at the head of a group where 13 skaters are covered by 4.89 points, stretching down to Arianna METOPE (ITA) in 21st position.

With a group this big, anything can happen. So Zhasmin needs to put in a good Free Skate to make sure that she stays ahead of all the skaters behind her.

So let's hope she has a good Free Skate to make sure she does!

The Junior Ladies FS is due to start at 10:00:00 CET (09:00:00 GMT / 14:00:00 AQTT / 15:00:00 KGT). So 4 hours from now.

The Group 4 Warm-Up is due to start at 12:08:30 CET (11:08:30 GMT / 16:08:30 AQTT / 17:08:30 KGT). So 6h 8m from now.

Zhasmin is due to start at 12:22:00 CET (11:22:00 GMT / 16:22:00 AQTT / 17:22:00 KGT). So 6h 22m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Zhasmin finished 14th out of 25 in the FS, with a score of 71.21. This meant that she dropped to 13th position overall, with a score of 112.58.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Merano Trophy, as I was concentrating on Four Continents and the Volvo Open Cup.

The seventh element, the Double Toe, was called as an invalid element.

The fourth element, the Double Salchow, was completely neutral in terms of both GOE and Judges marks. And because it already had the lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained the lowest scoring element of the programme.

The eighth element, the Double Flip, also had neutral GOE. And because it had the third lowest Base Value of the programme, it remained the third lowest scoring element of the programme. It got 0 from four Judges; and +1 from Judge 2.

For the remaining elements, the GOE ranged from +0.11 for the fifth element, the Double Loop, to +0.58 for the sixth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin. Apart from a -1 from Judge 3 for the aforementioned Double Loop, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE were in the 0 to +2 range.

Zhasmin finished the Free Skate 0.67 points behind 13th position, Nicole de ROSA (ITA), and 0.61 points ahead of 15th position, Sofia GADDO (ITA). All three of them are part of a group of 10 skaters covered by 4.61 points, stretching from Anthea GRADINARU (CHE) in 11th position, 1.09 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Arianna METOPE (ITA) in 20th position, 3.52 points behind Zhasmin.

Overall, Zhasmin finished 3.14 points behind 12th position, Minea MONTONEN (FIN), and 0.92 points ahead of 13th position, de Rosa. Zhasmin is at the head of a group of 5 skaters covered by 4.72 points, stretching down to Maria CESANA (ITA) in 17th position.

It is a such a pity about the fall and the Double Toe being invalidated. Because they were both very costly in terms of her FS position. She would undoubtedly have finished 11th in the FS otherwise. That said, it wouldn't have made any difference to her overall finishing position.

And we don't have long to wait to see Zhasmin again, as she is entered in the Bavarian Open in Oberstdorf, Germany, this coming week.

She is also in the provisional entries for Skate Berlin in four weeks time. I hope this isn't going to be like that time in the autumn when she was competing in a lot of events in quick succession. Because by the final event, you could see it was too much. And we want her fresh and in peak condition for Junior Worlds.

I wasn't kidding when I said it wouldn't be long until Zhasmin would be in action again. Just four days after doing her FS in Merano, Zhasmin is back in action today at the Bavarian Open in Oberstdorf, Germany.

The Junior Ladies SP is due to start at 16:15:00 CET (15:15:00 GMT / 20:15:00 AQTT / 21:15:00 KGT). So 8 hours from now.

Zhasmin will be the 7th skater to start. So, second skater to go in Group 2.

The Group 2 Warm-Up is due to start at 16:52:20 CET (15:52:20 GMT / 20:52:20 AQTT / 21:52:20 KGT). So 8h 37m from now.

Zhasmin is due to start at 17:05:00 CET (16:05:00 GMT / 21:05:00 AQTT / 22:05:00 KGT). So 8h 50m from now.

But, those times may change if somebody that is due on before her withdraws.

Bavarian Open Junior Ladies SP: Results; Protocols

Zhasmin finished 5th out of 27 in the SP, with a score of 52.67.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Bavarian Open, as I installed Windows 11 on the desktop computer at the start of the week, and was in the process of re-installing everything all of the other programmes.

Looking at the Protocols, there were no issues at all. The only negative numbers were two -2's that were given by Judge 1. But this is not something to be too concerned about, because she was consistently giving lower marks for spins than than the other Judges.

Apart from the aforementioned -2's from Judge 1, and a +3 from Judge 5 for the opening element, the Triple Loop, all the Judges marks were in the 0 to +2 range,

The sixth element, the Flying Sit Spin, had neutral GOE. It had the third lowest Base Value of the programme, which meant it became the second lowest scoring element of the programme. It got -2 from Judge 1; 0 from three Judges; and +1 from Judge 3.

All the other elements had positive GOE, ranging from +0.31 for the final element, the Camel Spin, to +0.56 for the second element, the Triple Toe-Triple Toe. The second element had by miles the highest Base Value of the programme, so it remained by miles the highest scoring element of the pogramme.

Zhasmin is currently 1.22 points behind 4th position, Stefania GLADKI (FRA), and 1.55 points ahead of 6th position, Megan WOODLEY (CAN). All three of them are part of a group where 6 skaters are covered by 5.15 points, stretching from Leandra TZIMPOUKAKIS (CHE) in 3rd position, 1.58 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Jekaterina BRINSTER (DEU) in 8th position, 3.57 points behind Zhasmin.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but if Zhasmin has a good Free Skate, there is a possibility that she could even win a 🥈 Silver Medal. Madison CHONG (USA) in 2nd position is 3.99 points ahead of Zhasmin. However, Zhasmin also needs a good Free Skate to make sure that the three girls behind her in the group stay behind her.

So, lets hope she does have a good Free Skate.

Zhasmin finished 8th out of 27 in the FS, with a score of 86.86. This meant that she dropped to 7th position overall, with a score of 139.53.

Unfortunately, I was not able to watch the Bavarian Open, as I was continuing to try to get the desktop computer set up the way I wanted it.

Looking at the Protocols, she had four issues, but we are only told what the issue was with one of them.

The opening element, the Triple Loop, had the second biggest GOE hit of the programme, at -0.98. This meant it went from having the fourth highest Base Value of the programme, to being the joint fourth highest scoring element of the programme. It got -4 from Judge3; -3 from Judge 1; -2 from Judge 5; and -1 from two Judges.

The third element, the Triple Lutz, was landed on the quarter, and she fell. The remaining elements had GOE ranging from +0.18 for the fourth element, the Double Flip, to +0.83 for the ninth element, the Choreographic Step Sequence. Apart from a -2 from Judge 2 for the sixth element, the Change Foot Combination Spin, all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GOE ranged from 0 to +2.

Zhasmin finished the Free Skate 1.64 points behind 7th position, Adelina VOROTELIAK (DEU), and 2.19 points ahead of 9th position, Valeria HUBER (DEU).

Overall, Zhasmin finished 2.74 points behind 6th position, Megan WOODLEY (CAN), and 5.56 points ahead of 8th position, Voroteliak.

Truth be told, based on the Base Values of the programmes, Zhasmin was where she should have been in the FS. All the skaters ahead of her had programmes whose Base Value was much higher than Zhasmin's programme. She couldn't have touched them. And all the skaters behind her had proogrammes with lower Base Values.

With the Olympics starting on Friday, there is a pause now to the regular figure skating season. But Zhasmin is entered in Skate Berlin, which is being held in 3 weeks time, during the last few days of the Olympics.

We didn't actially see Zhasmin until it was her turn to be featured.

When we joined her, she was in the middle of a beautiful jump. And then she did another beautiful jump. And then a beautiful combination jump just before we left her.

Next time we saw her, she was at the boards talking to her mother.

After showing some people in the audience, the camera focussed on her again, and she did a beautiful combination spin.

Unfortuantely, we didn't see her again until she was leaving the ice.

But what we did see looked very good. I'm looking forward to her programme!

Zhasmin Slaga has always been an original and interesting skating. I am glad that she is gradually developing more technical control with the jumps.

A little late to the party (3am was just too early to watch 🙈) but I realllly hope we can see more of Zhasmin Shlaga once she hits seniors - she was a standout to me even though she skated so early and didn't make the free. Oodles of potential - I would love to see her having a Julia Sauter-like rise because she's such a fun skater.

She has been doing a lot more international events this season than she has in past seasons. So, I am hopeful that that will continue when she moves into Seniors.

I have loved her since I first saw her. I am drawn to skaters that are a bit different...

Apart from two -1's (from Judge 8 for the penultimate element, the Flying Sit Spin, and from Judge 4 for the aforementioned Camel Spin), all the Judges marks for the elements with positive GEO were in the 0 to +2 range.

Zhasmin is currently 1.17 points behind 33rd position, TSAI Yu-Feng (TPE), and 0.09 points ahead of 35th position, Sofiia RYMSHYNA (UKR). All three of them are part of a group where 48 skaters are covered by 31.01 points, stretching from Hana BATH (AUS) in 3rd position, 18.39 points ahead of Zhasmin, down to Sienna KACZMARCZYK (AUS) in 50th position, 12.62 points behind Zhasmin.

That was using my usual guide of using 2.00 point gaps to define groups. If I cut it down to 1.00 point gaps, then the three of them are the top 3 skaters in a group where 7 skaters are covered by 4.67 points, stretching down to Ula ZADNIKAR (SVN) in 39th position, 3.50 points behind Zhasmin.

Unfortunately, there is a cut-off at the Junior World Championships. Only the Top 24 go through to the Free Skate. Zhasmin is just 5.14 points behind the last skater to qualify, Mei OKADA (JPN).

Nevertheless, Zhasmin had a great skate, setting her second highest SP score of the season, which was also her new ISU Season's Best score for the SP.
