Valieva's GOE (and PCS) are ridiculous. She's good, no doubt, but not the gold standard that her scores would suggest. Her program is sleepy and her jump elements, though very clean, are not particularly impressive otherwise. She doesn't have the 3lutz of a Yuna Kim, for example, or the 3A of a Midori Ito (or Wakaba Higuchi, for that matter). Seeing another skater at this event with her same content was eye-opening. It is hard to justify the huge disparity in scoring, in my opinion.I will not get over the incredulous score fixing that lets Kamila’s just absolutely ugly change edge combo get +4/+5 GOE almost all across the board, or her I-spin which is obviously traveling in the overhead shot get a +5 GOE from all but two judges, who gave it a +4. The cameraman even took the angle off because of how obvious it was. It’s just insane judging that is such a disservice to Anna and Sofia M. and to Adelia who has such incredible spins also. And then to call it out is met with “lol y u hate 15 yo” like there just isn’t obscene and blatant scoring inconsistencies that favor her. Over it. Over skating.
