2021 Warsaw Cup: Women's Short Program

My favorites were the Finnish girls and Lindsay, but I basically liked everyone! Once again I was reminded how different impressions on stream and live can be. For instance, I wasn't convinced by Nicole Schott's SP on TV, but I enjoyed it now.

Wow, Lindsay really got dinged on her combo. I wonder if doing it in the second half is a good strategy for her. I know it's supposed to get a bonus but if she can't rotate, maybe she should change it.

I'm happy for Gabby hitting her triple triple and getting over 60 points. She's still a long shot for the team, but you never know.

Odd that Sambo 70 skaters have been doing 3Lz/2T lately in the SP (Anna at her last GP, Adelia today in the Russian Cup and now Maiia). Very unlike them.

Day 1 of the Warsaw Cup starts with a marathon segment for the Senior Ladies. And, unfortunately, it overlaps with half of the Junior Ladies FS, all of the Senior Men's FS and all of the Senior Ladies FS at the Tallinn Trophy.
