Need to admit, Adam was my favorite going in. He has improved so so so so much from his junior days in presentation, and I am not one of those who thinks "Oh work on presentation later, it will come". But he did.

Also cutie Kazuki and elegant Sota: good podium. 🥇🥈🥉

Say, this has been quite the event for Team France so far, right? Adam wins here, medal in Dance (and France #2 just off the podium), plus the fabulous Mae Berenice having a moment (and I think qualifying for Euros/Worlds.)

Plus all the assorted strangeness that makes me love French skating all the more.

Now for pairs, with a bit of French Canadian power added to the mix!

Wow. Certainly not a good day for Japanese guys it seems. :frown:
Their FS weren't perfect but I'd say it was actually a pretty good day for the Japanese men (besides Sena, of course 😞)

Both Sota and Kazuki podiumed at their first GP event of the season
Kazuki has never medaled at his first GP
And this is Sota's first (Senior) GP medal ever
Sota tends to skate stronger earlier in the season, Kazuki towards the end
Considering how Kazuki has been skating so far this season I fully anticipated this event to be a challenge for him
I'm sure they'll be disappointed with their errors but both fought hard enough between both programs and was lucky enough to podium
I consider that a win~
