Not a fan of this music selection. All I end up remembering is Tursynbaeva, and this program does not match the quality of that program.

Also, I feel sad at the constant missed opportunity by Young. I was hoping she would capitalise hard in Russia's absence, but sadly it feels like this is causing more pressure than when she may have known she had almost no chance to win when Russians were present. :slink:

Knowing Japanese feds, I wish to start a very early petition to have Mai sent to World's, even if she happens to come below top 3 in Nationals.

So glad to see Mai at this level considering how she was few years back. :clap:

That seems low, no?

Young always seems to blow either hot or cold. I’ve seen her look fierce and completely into it and attack her program like she’s unstoppable. I’ve also seen her seem diffident or uninvolved. It doesn’t seem to be tied into how her jumps are going, either. I wonder if it is a motivational issue—and if so, that is fixable. There is no question of her talent!
