Selling tickets a year and half in advance is just insane!! I want to go to both if I can... But I'm failing to make up my mind for next year's Worlds right now. The 2nd round ticket sales just opened a couple of hours ago and they're selling like mad!!
Also, I went to check out the Boston worlds website since you mentioned it, but the tickets seem very expensive? Best seats for Shanghai is only CNY780 (equivalent to $128USD), compared with $1295 USD for best seats in Boston... The difference can already cover the return flights from Canada to China...
So that He really go for the NHK???
EDIT: Just read the article, seems that he will not join the NHK....(yea, I know that is not trustworthy...but still)
My friend said Ms. Kobayashi talked with him at the beginning of this week so maybe his condition has improved. I don't know. Let's wait and see.We won't know. We will just have to wait but I don't want him to push himself too hard. I think Ms Kobayashi did the right thing to stop asking about his participation when she contacted him.
Adelina has torn a ligament as far as I know. A sprain and a torn ligament are two different things.Quite apart from his other injuries, ankle sprains can be very serious. Adelina has a cast on her ankle. My ankle sprain (tore 2 out of 3 ligaments) took more than 6 months to heal. My physical therapist said a bone break would have been faster and more straightforward recovery.
Yes, they are a bit expensive....but $128 for Shanghai for the entire event...all 7 days?? Doesnt sound quite right? But if it is, wow, thats super cheap!! The Boston worlds tickets are for the entire 8 event (SP and LP for each discipline) plus access to practices that take place in TD Gardens. Stupid thing though, the EX gala is not included.
Good luck to you getting tickets in Shanghai, plus a visa!!![]()

(Feel free to correct me if my translation abilities are failing me here, but a sprain does not automatically mean that you've torn a ligament.)
I just assumed that they'd use "sprain" as it would be used in everyday language. In my experience people no longer call it a sprain as soon as a ligament is even partially torn but actually say that they've torn a ligament. At least that's how it is around here, but things might also get lost in translation a bit. But what do I know anyway
Yuzuru was told by the doctors that he would need two, three weeks at most to recover. It was also said that the contusion to his thigh was the most serious of all the injuries. If he had torn a ligament I'm sure that a) it would have been mentioned and b) the estimated recovery time would be much longer.
Is the thigh contusion because of the accident or the fall during the Lp?
He said the consequences of the Cup of China incident has an impact on his performance more in a mental way, rather than physically.
"From time to time, I felt unsafe in rink and could not let it, " he added. "It bothered me a lot."
"Some times I can't help looking back over my shoulder to check if there's some one else, even when I was skating along in a competition."
He said he could walk normally at the beginning of this week when she last checked in with him. Well, at least he is able to recoup in relative peace and quiet surrounded by loved ones. Dont have plans for this years Worlds...but i got tickets to Boston Worlds!!! They assigned the seats already!!! Talk about having to buy in advance to get good seats!! Will you go to Boston??

Yes isn't it insane? I bought my tickets to Boston too, so I guess I'll see you there! I know the tickets to Shanghai Worlds are selling like mad; apparently the ticketing office employees all know by now that it's mainly because of Hanyu-san. They ask everyone who called " Are you there to see the Japanese teen boy? "![]()
Oh cool, you got tickets for Boston too!! The on-sale for Boston was a disaster eh?? Im actually surprised they are not already fully sold out in shanghai.....even in CoC....there were reports that they were sold out and people couldnt get tickets, yet i saw many empty seats...very strange.
