Have to agree. It does also not compare favorably to Cesario's. Mirai's bad fortune has kind of bummed me out but this is not doing it for me. Oh GOD now the Godfather death music REALLY????

I think Karen has incredible potential. But she still seems juniorish. Her elements seem rushed and her arms are always moving. Presentation is just not there yet.

And I share the bummed feeling over Mirai.

I don't know - I think in the context of all she said she was trying to express sympathy and my interpretation was she meant it when she said that Mirai was having really bad luck. Of course, I was crying, so maybe I misunderstood.

Yes definitely THAT. I DO like her as a skater but the program is too 'old' for her IMO.

Karen's jumps are huge, that first 2A had me with my jaw to the floor, strong skate by her, program didn't suit her but she did so well

Yeah not to be too whiny but I'm going to end up being so unfulfilled by this competition re: Mirai. Even if she had fallen all over herself, it would be easier to accept than a freak accident harpooning her year.

Awesome skate by Karen!! I find her so impressive as a skater, especially given her small size. Many people have compared her to Miyahara, but I think Karen has much better jumps (The height/length she gets is amazing for her size!) and presentation skills.

I will say some people laugh when they are upset as a sort of defense mechanism. I used to do this, so I do understand it and am going to give Tara the benefit of the doubt that this is what was going on.

She's not skating to Carmen; that was the Godfather Suite.
