2015 US Nationals Senior Ladies FS Jan 24

Wow, what a night! It's 5 am here, time to go to bed. Congrats to winners.

Thank you so much for the live stream, sabinfire

US nationals is always so dramatic and fun. But I'm definitely deducting 15 scores off everyone and I'll take that as their real scores.

The problem is that international judges don't seem to like Ashley. Out of dozens of clean programs, none have broken the 130 range. As for Liza, she replied to someone on her Instagram saying she might try it at euros but not world's.

I disagree. Ashley's 3F-3T was always cheated. The 3T was always underrotated or two-footed. US judges looked past it, but international judges didn't because skaters like Yuna Kim had clean triple-triples. Her 3Lz-3T was clean tonight, which shocked me.

I don't think the judges were robbing her. I think she wasn't rising to the occasion. Now she appears to be.

Both her 2014 Worlds FS and her 2014 GPF FS deserved to be over 130. Even a little bit would've been fine. And then we see Elena Radionova who is loved by international judges and gets inflated scores.

Elena is a great skater. It's just that her PCS is way to high at the moment.

Yep and we all know that the Russian Political Competition Score is 10 out of 10 :points:

:disapp::disapp::disapp:

As a half-Russian half-Korean living in the U.S and grew up in another country, I would say, re-watch 2002 Olympics. Sochi was bad but was not THAT bad. Sorry for off-topic.

That's an actual opinion as opposed to spite. It's like the difference between me saying to you, I think you're wrong about Paulina because x, y, z" and "I hope you break your fingers so you can't type."

Just sayin'...

Thank you, this. I don't like Polina either but I would never say I hope she falls or make remarks about how she is personally when I don't know her and she's actually given very few interviews (and most of the ones she has have been groups and she's been the least talkative one).

Well, good for Ashley. Well deserved. Gracie, for me, is still the US champ. She epitomizes the technical and artistic aspects of skating that makes her the best. Tonight belongs to Ashley but tomorrow and tomorrow is Gracie. Now Karen may be be a wild card in that equation. Polina's fairy tale performance was flat. She's lucky she's 4th.

Any word on Mirai? I'm heart broken for her...

I don't understand how her jumps get positive GOEs. They are the worst looking Jumps I have ever seen tbh... And I'm a fan of hers!! But yes, her PCs are way inflated I mean choreo is definitely not there -.-
