Oddly enough I feel no emotional investment to this competition tonight at all, but still interested in watching regardless.

Same. I'm more excited for the Men's tbh... Not a huge fan of any of the Ladies..

She doesn't actually UR very much. Such a wrongful stigma on her. But, yeah, I'd unfortunately predict Kanako to finish 8th since the judges pretty much never give her the marks. Zijun Li is also not consistent, however. The Americans could finish 5th + 6th here.

I know...and it kills me that some skaters get a pass. Argggg

Good on Chartrand. Saves her spot for next year (maybe Daleman's actually? I think SC tends to favor her).

Yeah, she looked disappointed, but I was proud of her for handling it so well. She got whacked by the underrotations. She tends to do it when nervous. I don't get SC's apparent preference for Daleman. I though Chartrand should have been Canadian champ. Damn, I really miss Osmond right now. If for no other reason than that she so obviously loves competing and performance.

Anyway, wow, was the scoring generous for Pogorilaya's disaster. Almost 100 points for that? In what universe?

Gold was beautiful and highly deserves to be in the lead. I adore Ashley — she presents an actual coherent program to her chosen music better than anyone else out there right now — but she, too, got whacked with underrotations. Watching them all back to back, it's really noticeable how much slower Edmunds is than the other two American ladies.
