Gracie and Ashley, so close to the podium. It's got to hurt. And Liza may be tacky, but I love her! She just sells that program. She also moves--can I say beautifully--across the ice. And even with a few slip-ups, her jumps are still gorgeous. Next best at selling her program was Ashley. Was her PCS really below Gracie's?

OK. Gold didn't medal bcause of a mediocre short. BUT, that little girl from Japan with the silver is just not on the same level as the other top women. The ISU again rewarding light-weight girls who because of their size can jump and spin fast. The audience doesn't understand this and it's hurting the sport. Not yet a complete skater. Lena also held up a bit.

Congratulations to US women who pulled themselves up so well today.

That "little girl from Japan" has a name. It's Satoko Miyahara. Gold didn't medal (probably never will). Get over it.

Ashley beat Gracie in PCS, but Liza beat them both.

I wonder if Ashley had skated in the last group if the judges would've given her the edge in PCS over Liza.

Nonsense. If any of the HOLY TRINITY comes back, there is a basis of comparison. The Russian girls will be so deficient compared to them.

can someone explain to me why 2A+3T is allowed twice in a program? and would let's say, 3L+3T also be allowed twice then?

You can repeat 3 jumps twice. If you do 2A+3T twice, you've used up 2 of 3 jumps you're allowed to repeat. You could alternatively do 3Lo+3T, but not in the same FS because you have already performed the 3T twice.

I highly doubt people are turning away from and not attending figure skating because of Satoko's tiny jumps. In fact....it's almost a miracle that she gets jumps that are so low off the ground to spin three times around. Only one UR today. Maybe we should give her a little for making the podium at such a young age in such a big event.

When I refer to it as tacky, I'm talking about the blowing kisses and finger pointing and winking.

Many skaters do some version of that if it's "in character", though. She was doing a seductive style of dance. Eh, I thought it worked. Agree that it'll be great to see what she does next.

Definitely! Her and Liza have both had an amazing season

As much as I like Elizaveta... whoever gave her 3T+3T a 0 GOE needs to be fired. That was definitely negative GOE for me...

And the same judge gave her 3Lz-2T-2Lo a 1 GOE while others gave -1.
