Mee too because Tessa's dress was also pink and the dark long hair... I am a fan of both Tessa&Scott and Anna&Luca but for different reasons. As much as I appreciate them trying to challenge themselves by trying a different style from we had seen until last year, I don't think tryin to be someone else is a good idea.

Totally random thought: since gala invitations are a kind of random, I wish they invited Anna P. to the gala.

It is my theory -- just a theory -- that in general, gala organizers attempt to achieve a somewhat balanced/diverse representation of countries in the gala as a whole and within each discipline.
So by my theory, Anna P. (no offense to her) would not have been "helpful" to such balance.

(The exception to my theory being that host countries take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their own skaters.)

Would I be wrong to think I dreamed a dream being the POTO of gala this season? I don't think I've noticed any other song being used more. I'm hoping skaters will use other Les Miserables song, if any , next season.

Re synchro and the Olympics: per a Hersh article from Sep 2014 in an old GS thread, the IOC decision will be known by April.

The request is in the hands of the IOC’s executive board, which will approve the final 2018 program and athlete quotas next April.

Actually at the press conference for this event (Worlds), Cinquanta said "In June they will decide whether to include synchronized skating or not,""If the IOC says it is too expensive, then this will be taken away by us, and we will see what is possible to be done by us in order to obtain this addition."
