I see. That... wouldn't surprise me. I even posted a while ago--she can't skate her competitive programs in that dress because it's a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen when she goes for Biellmann. Looks like I was right.

i think the main issue for IOC is not money... it's the fact that the sport isn't globally practiced... it's popular in 4 or 5 countries... to be an Olympic sport, it requires much more than that..
I think it's definitely popular in more countries than 4 or 5, but I don't have the facts off hand to prove it. However, 20 countries are sending teams to Worlds next week and I think there were 19 or 20 countries represented at Junior Worlds, including a handful of teams from the Southern Hemisphere.
popular and having a chance to medal.. sorry that wasn't clear... it's traditionally finland, canada, russia and usa in the top... and it never moves... IOC almost wanted to cancel women's hockey because it was the same deal...
